Those Rotiform Wheels with Aero Covers...............absolutely incredible. I love those. You've done a great job enhancing the truck with all the goodies! Thx for sharing with us man!
For me (in a 2WD Hybrid), it wasnt about the extra ride height, but rather the traction provided in the AT vs the Continentals OE tires that came with it. I live in Colorado, snow, and fair amount of dirt roads to travel make better sense to have a tire that can provide increased traction.
Just keep in mind that at a 65K you are probably sacrificing tread compound/grip in exchange for a harder compound that lasts longer. For me, the price and the reputation of the tire based on the Mfr were higher priorities at the time, so it meets my needs for now, and as of this week, I have...
@StrangeScience I bought them in March of this year and had them put on a few days after by my local Discount Tire (as I might have mentioned, Walmart will not install a tire two sized + over factory sizes).
I've put roughly about 3K miles on them. This consists of moderate city use, with then...
Anyone take a peek at their resale value for a 2022 Maverick Hybrid... 🤪 😳😜 5k miles on my lil rig and I would come out close to 10K over my MSRP.......thats nuts. Of course I have no intention of selling it.
This all makes sense. So I take it you made this yourself. I'm really like the load spreader......I was imagining something the full length of the truck bed and tailgate, so as to better re-distribute the weight more, BUT you are accomplishing the same thing by what reads like it mounts to the...
Tell me more about that "Load Spreader" aluminum channel piece sitting under the rear wheel of the bike.......that's what Im looking for. Thx in advance Les!
- Yes, these are the Factory XLT wheels I put the tires on.
-The road ride is actually smoother because it's a chunkier tire. The road noise is slightly more, but nothing annoying or an issue.
-No rubbing at all.
- you might try your local tire shop and inquire if theyll give you any credit.

Can't help you on mpg.....I just assume the additional savings over non hybrid is a net positive vs. any loss due to bigger heavier tire. I do recall I did a two hour road trip an remember being impressed by my mileage.... 😂
In theory, yes with all weight being equal. I just don't want to add any additional stress to the cables, which feel solid, but they're already not perfectly equal lengths
Harley-Davidson Pan America 62.2" wheel base, but it fit. Now to track down a C Channel to take up some of the weight on the tailgate and/or run it at an angle. Ratchet straps on the lower triple clamp down to the bed D rings, two from the passenger foot pegs to the bottom rear tie down points...
Yes, it feels different, smoother since its a chunkier tire. Yes a little more road noise, but it's not an issue. Yes, it affects my gas mileage, but it's not enough to make me stay on the factory tires. My Dextero AT's in the pics are 245/65/17.
And check this...
You get your Mavrick yet??? The tires are holding up nice and actually makes the ride smoother since they are chunkier tires. Theyre meeting my needs solidly.
When you have ice running through your veins, it's only appropriate that my special powers include instant snow making capabilities....please don't step on my Cape. 😉
