I called Weathertech and the person I spoke with said they first needed a Maverick to make their floor mat models and after that an additional three weeks to manufacture them. Sounds reasonable.
Interesting because I heard someone in the video mention how quiet the engine is. I thought maybe it was me, but it did seem to be a little loud with the ticking sound. I'm ready to see one of these trucks in person.
Ford has been building pick-up trucks for something like 400 years. I think this is Hyundai's first try at any pick-up truck....ever. It looks like they're using stuff from the parts bin. Hyundai makes good vehicles, but I don't see staying power with their newest offering. As the vehicle stands...
Grabber Blue has been around since the early 1970s and sometimes Ford brings it back for a year or two and then stores it away. It does look good on smaller vehicles. I would have chosen that if it had been available.
Yeah, I wish I could order mine with a vinyl floor, plain steel wheels, but still get some of the safety options and cruise control. Oh if only I could get a manual transmission and crank windows, I would be thrilled. The nice thing about a vehicle with a manual transmission, most young thieves...
The Ford engineer guy did a good job, but I didn't get the impression the other guy really knew much about the truck. At one point it seemed that he thought the truck was a plug hybrid. He kept referring to the truck as an entry level vehicle. I'm confident many older folks will buy this truck.
So where and how are they building these test Mavericks? I don't know everything about producing vehicles, but I figured that it would be difficult to build a test vehicle in a factory that is set up to build only specific Ford models.
Chick magnet.... well I hope it helps. However, my wife is going to be driving this truck too. I'm like you sjJohnny, need a smaller, higher tech truck for most of the same reasons.
Wow, that would be a deal breaker for me. I gave a $500 deposit. The dealer tried to add on a paint protection thingy and told them no. I wax my vehicles way too often to need that.
I chose a different color, but that Alto Blue looks rich. I have a black F150 and really like it, but the black color has been really hard to keep clean. However, after seeing how the Alto Blue looks on the Maverick, I may have to change up on the color while I still have time.
