The classic compare interest rates. Keep your money in an interest bearing bank account and make monthly payments at 0 interest. I wouldn't put anything down and keep the $10k working for you in your account.
My suggestion is zero out your trip meter next time you fill up. I was showing 7 mpg when I picked up my truck which gradually started climbing with time but still was topping out at about 21. Reset the trip meter and the mpg started looking much better. It's now showing me 31 on the highway and...
Funny I read your post and replies this morning. Two hours later opened the tailgate on my truck and the right bumper fell off. Glad I knew exactly where it went right away!
You made me think of my Dad years ago. It wasn't as common back in his day as it is now. He was appalled at the very idea of giving companies free advertising on things he bought.... clothing, license brackets, etc. He figured people deserved a discount for that.
I just got in under the wire for Ford's 3 year 0% financing, which my dealer said at the time was expiring 1/3/22. My truck was on its way to the dealership at that point. I don't recall having an option to lock it in when I ordered 7 months earlier. I'm not sure it was even available then.
With help from this forum, I was able to confirm it is on my truck. As pointed out by others though, it's not the Perimeter Plus that has more features. I'm fine with what I did get with the basic Perimeter system. It was just the distinction between them wasn't clear to me in Ford's materials...
Where do you adjust this? I don't have any alarm option to adjust that I've found yet. Or was the system an add on for you and you have something to adjust that I don't? My head is still spinning a bit from this whole topic.
I don't think the shock alarm is supposed to require that much energy. As I understood it, banging on the window or side of the truck as a test should set it off. But I admittedly don't have first hand experience with it.
Thanks. I think Mr. White nailed it earlier in the thread. My lariat does have the perimeter alarm that triggers when there is an attempt to open the door from the inside when the vehicle is locked and key is not nearby. Banging on the steering wheel does not set it off with my truck. It sounds...
You have single handedly solved my issue. I can't thank you enough and I'm sure my salesman feels the same way since he wasn't sure either. He knows now though. Thanks man.
