#1: 2001 Ford Escape (SENTIMENTAL PIC) - 1st vehicle I ever owned, nothing quite like it.
#2: 2022 Ford Maverick
#3: 2002 Ford Escape. - Huge dropoff after #3. I replaced this with the Maverick, but I still own it. That's how much I like it.
#4: 2002 Pontiac Grand Am - I've only ever owned 4...
10 miles on the paperwork, 53 when I first sat in it. Me thinks one or two dealership staff drove it before I picked it up. Maybe around town, maybe out of town. Dealer had it for 4 days from the time it was delivered to the time I picked it up.
Even down in TX, it's a nice option to have. Just takes the comfort to that next level. Wish I had had this option when I was daily freezing my butt off in a Walmart Distribution warehouse freezer.
No idea why it took a month. I'm guessing the spray-in liner had something to do with it. Mine was an Oct. build and Oct. had all kinds of delays, production stops, and issues. Who knows. It did get real annoying seeing Nov. builds getting the whole process done in 1 or 2 days, and then at the...
3,000+ miles with 26.4 mpg average on 87 octane. AWD FX4 4K tow packages. Guestimate: 70 percent hwy, 30 percent city. stock tires. I do remote start quite often, so it just sits and idles.
CONGRATS JUNE ORDER! :) Glad yours went through quick once it started, most of em do. Whole process seems fast for most. Mine stayed in production status for over a month. There's a whole lot of variables that can affect this. For those that are anxious and are expecting this thing to get to you...
Update on that post: So there are a couple of points where water does ingress into the bed. These points for me are located on either left and right corners of the cover toward the cab. The Maverick also has a groove on the black plastic side-wall trim that lets water in. I just took mine...
The Gator SFX comes with the cover, instructions, and extra tailgate seal. There are 6 attachment points. 4 main clamps to temporarily secure the cover to the bed and 2 emergency clamps in case of cover detachment. The emergency/safety clamps are meant to be installed either on the tie-down bars...
I live in moderately sized town in Central Texas and actually have seen both a Santa Cruz and Maverick. The Maverick lives 2 doors down from me on my street. Apart from that, nothing. The Ford dealer I purchased from has only seen two, mine and one that they had to deliver to Mac Haik Ford in...
I transport my 3 yr old and 7 month old to and from their grandmother everyday. TBH, my 02 Escape that was replaced by the Maverick is a better family vehicle. However, the Maverick is jusstt enough space + gets better gas mileage. The 7 mo. old sits behind me, the driver, with the forward...
For anyone still wondering or have a hard time with it, I believe this is the proper way to secure the emergency straps on the cover. Everything worked just fine for me and has come together nice, tight, and square....but so many seem to be confused by this, I'm starting to self doubt. Call me...
Replaced my 2002 Escape with the Maverick. I tried looking at purchasing a modern Escape, but these new Escapes are worlds apart from the early 01 and 02-05 models. The Mav feels similarly utilitarian when compared to my 02 and former 01 Escape.
With a 2.0 AWD and just over 1000 miles, I'm averaging 26 mpg. That's city + highway combined. Straight highway, I'm getting 29ish and city it's 23ish. I drive highways a little more than city. Coming from a 2002 Ford Escape getting 20 mpg, it's a nice uptick. I fuel up every 4 days instead of 3.
Living in Central Texas. Picked up my Alto Blue last week. My neighbor three doors down has had his cactus grey Maverick for about 2 months now. I commute every day 45 miles to Waco, I'm the only Maverick I've ever seen on I-35.
