  1. Which Keyless Entry Keypad to order for XL?

So you get a battery version and one day you lock your keys and phone in the truck somewhere out in the wilderness on a hunting trip. The battery on the keypad dies and you cant use it. You are fucke%^ ? Or is there a low battery light or chime?
  2. Disappointed in tailgate assist.

just get rid of it and learn how to open a tailgate. If you use your tailgate frequently, having to wait for the assist is just annoying
  3. Swap premium 18" Lariat wheels for 17" black XLT FX4 wheels!

^^Um...no. Once you get into low profile tires on massive rims the wheels play a big part

Tacomas have a COMFORT+ Complete option which includes block heater and Programmable Cabin Warmer/windshield de-icer thst works without turning on engine basically it’s a space heater that they install in the cabin and you can control with an app. must plug in though
  5. Leaking oil & coolant after 30 miles

New Engine or extended warranty. Don’t budge. Very low oil is a bad thing
  6. $810 For Factory Trailer Hitch Receiver

I agree but even if Ford anticipated most would opt for the factory unit, they must have realized that in a few years many of those no hitch trucks are going to be selling as used vehicles, likely primarily to people who want a hitch. I haven't seen the wiring but doesn't it appear that there...
  7. New wheels! fifteen52 Metrix MX 17x8.0 + Falken Wildpeak 245/70 Tires + Tint + Headlights / Taillights Mod

Very Nice. Reminds me of American Racing Teflon-coated Chamber 1's I had on a Tacoma. Not flashy but classic look
  8. Update: No wiring harness with trucks w/o factory hitch/receiver.

True, these newer vehicles are one big computer on wheels; cutting into wires is definitely riskier than it used to be.

The last truck I bought that you couldn't easily add a harness to was an early 90's B series Here they give you a pigtail. Hilarious.
  11. $810 For Factory Trailer Hitch Receiver

Lol. People on the forum also have a habit of not reading the thread before inserting foot in mouth. “you’re correct, it’s not gouging it’s a Ford part and priced accordingly.”
  12. $810 For Factory Trailer Hitch Receiver

you’re correct, it’s not gouging it’s a Ford part and priced accordingly. But aftermarket’s will be less. It’s more the wiring that is worrying. . They sell the hitch so they must know some will want a harness.
  13. $810 For Factory Trailer Hitch Receiver

The hitch price gouging will end once aftermarket jumps in. Not providing simple wiring solution like a pigtail is just lazy engineering.
  14. $810 For Factory Trailer Hitch Receiver

I got the 4K but if I was in this situation and didn't want to hotwire, I'd use a wireless solution temporarily until aftermarket figures it out. I haven't seen the wiring but I'll bet Ford will eventually correct this on newer models so you can plug and play. Stupid on a truck that its this...
  15. Difference Between the White Circle Inside The Circle and Checkmark

Thats what I thought. Just dont see how Order Confirmed could be in progress; it either is or isnt. Assuming glitch as cs tells me I'm scheduled
  16. Difference Between the White Circle Inside The Circle and Checkmark

When I call Ford I get a scheduled date of April 11. But what's the white circle inside the circle. I've seen some with checkmarks and some with white circles inside the circle.
  17. $810 For Factory Trailer Hitch Receiver

Hitch could be welded to crash bar possibly and hotwire the harness but I’d take it to a good hitch place if you want to go that route. Much cheaper than $800 https://www.mavericktruckclub.com/forum/threads/hitch-receiver-come-on-already.9249/page-6
  18. $810 For Factory Trailer Hitch Receiver

Good info in here https://www.mavericktruckclub.com/forum/threads/hitch-receiver-installation-difficulties.11881/ Ford should have made this easier ignore these guys. They’re like roaches in threads like this
