Seriously, the tow hitch?? Omg.
I grew up in Pittsburgh, with steel plants making the air bad -- I thought orange horizons on clear days was normal. Things have sure changed, although when I visit there I do appreciate the better air and the many great craft beer breweries and such in former...
58 and female here. Disclaimer: I have hugged a tree. But not a soccer mom.
My hoped-for Maverick will partly be used in volunteering to help restore American chestnut trees, actually... Plus it will fit in my garage and not get covered in ice and snow for half the year!
(Partly responding to...
My area (New England) has a number of Mavericks for sale around that price, with some Lariats pushing $50K.
My dealer, with a straight face, said that his place "has to" charge that much due to low overall inventory and sales.
A lot of those jobs were manufacturing, steel industry and such. I grew up in Pittsburgh during the time that U.S. Steel was moving mills to other countries. Dealers are a tiny number of people compared to what U.S. manufacturing used to be, sadly.
Industries are always evolving, it's hard on...
So, if Maverick-less '22 hybrid order customers put the '23 order through in September, any thoughts on how many months until delivery? Would we actually be at the top of a '23 hybrid list?
Next question... will the list actually be done in order, unlike this last year?
Thanks for any...
Why do some people get emails and others get none?
Ford doesn't love me! (sob)
Aside from jokes, if they relied upon their customer database management skills to make money, they'd be worse than bankrupt.
"Long distance" means means different things in different states sometimes.
Here in Rhode Island, it seems to mean more than 15 minutes away! :)
It's densely populated overall even though we have some farms, so people needing pickups have loads of work to do where a lightning 150 would be...
The power infrastructure in lots of places is really frail, it's scary. We have some solar panels with net metering so charging in the day is not bad in the summer here. I'd love one of those "home batteries" but $$$.
The Ford Lightning can sort of double as a home battery though! I wonder if...
Interesting! -- they have talked a lot about more EVs though, not increasing diesels, and diesel fuel prices are way up. Plus the 150 Lightning is selling like hotcakes.
I wouldn't mind an EV Maverick if it had good range, since EVs have more internal space leftover for storage than hybrids. I...
OMG you are so optimistic, have you considered writing a self-help book? Lots of money in those I think.
Suggested title:
"What I learned about optimism from my decade on the Ford Maverick Wait List"...
I must be too low on their list to even bother sending this email to.
They handle a waiting list so poorly, what is going to happen to Maverick owners who need first-year bugs fixed? I love the idea of this truck but not from a company that's proving this unreliable at the moment. I know they...
My order is valid, not sure that the original poster's was.
Ford confirmed my order last November and sent a cryptic message about delays in April.
But...The original poster got this message about cancellation -- I suspect I'll get one soon!
