After the 2022 model year XLT's didn't get ambient lighting. I added the ambient lighting circuit wires to the BCM and enabled it using the ACM and BCM spreadsheets.

I believe it is basically a garage door opener remote control. You need to program it to your door but no vehicle programming is needed. I don't have a garage so I am not sure on the specifics lol.

Direct replacement for a Lariat, XLT will need power. I made a harness to tap power from the center overhead light. "Hollywood" LEDs found in higher trim F150s. I don't even use these mirrors lol. Looks premium compared to the incandescent Lariat lamps. Bonus: they have Homelink controls.
