I didn't read any of the responses and I am sure someone probably already stated the obvious, but the battery management module only charges the 12volt battery to 12.3VDC. It only takes a couple days sitting and the 12volt battery will be depleted to 11.7vdc and be in sleep mode. To keep the Mav...
Clearly it is for Hybrid Maverick to use Solar charger to keep the Maverick from going into sleep mode all the time. I would have installed a solar charger on my Hybrid Mav but it sits in the garage all the time, so instead I use a 10amp smart charger.
There seems to be a new very good reason why Maverick owners will need to get rid of the Ford Sync system, future Ford has plans on sending advertising to your vehicle through the Sync system while your driving. When my Maverick starts playing commercials I will disable the unit. A replacement...
The UK and most of old world Europe do not have the roads that can accommodate our US size pickup trucks. Almost ALL vehicles are downsized and if you have a US full size car, they have difficulty getting around. There are also restrictions in areas. There are areas in the EU that don't allow...
I refuse to discuss my research into this problem. But I will say it is a FORD engineering problem. You will end up using a fix that works for you in your geographical area. Good Luck ..
From someone that tows an all aluminum 13ft x 6ft converted utility trailer at 1865 pounds with my 2023 Hybrid Lariat Maverick around Michigan, I would NEVER tow even my trailer on any mountains. I find the Maverick tows it well at 65 mph or less just fine, but hit the highway speed or up very...
Why are you ashamed of having a HYBRID label on your truck?! Do the big boy truck owners make fun of you? Just remind them you get 3 times better gas mileage and don't fill the tank for $100 Bucks...
I don't understand why a small hybrid truck designed to fill a need for versatility and good gas mileage has to be a drag racer?! Why do people want every vehicle to be something different? why not buy what you really want? The Maverick truck fits a lot of peoples needs. It's not a great tow...
This is one of those Ford issues where some young engineers that never drove and worked on their fathers or grandfathers cars that had little electronics to drain the battery but also had alternators that had a 14.3 VDC output to the battery. So they design a car like a cell phone with wheels...
It stands to reason. The vehicle is ALL software controlled with a hundred or more electrical modules. Today's vehicles are nothing like vehicles 20 years ago. You have no shifter linkage, no gas pedal linkage, no brake pedal linkage. Not even the brake lights are on or off by a single brake...
Don't like it ! Like others I think the front looks like a cheap body kit. It would have been a better to stick with the original design and go with full body paint on bumpers and lower door guards. This looks nasty and I am very happy I got my 2023 Hybrid Lariat.... except for the have dozen...
Unfortunately I don't think the uni-body Maverick truck would support one. Not much cargo combined weight after passengers loaded. I could be wrong if someone makes a basic unit made from fiberglass with no frills at 500-600 lbs.
I have a 2023 Maverick Lariat loaded. I have a love/hate relationship with it. Things that annoy me are the random double honk exiting the truck, having to hit the OK button multiple times, the driver assist always telling me to put my hands on the steering wheel when driving on a straight road...
