I keep thinking I should have added 4K towing but more than likely I'll never need it. Thought the same about the 360 but recently rented a Mustang with that option and did not like it. I think I nailed my order. Cactus Grey (love it), XLT, 2.0, AWD, LUX, FX4, Moonroof, Rear Window, Full Size...
(12/3/21 Update) New estimated delivery date on online tracker is 12/27. Called Ford 800 number and was told it would be done with production 12/27 with another 2 or 3 weeks of transit /delivery. Total BS. Ford can do so much better with communicating and transparency. Dealer would love for me...
Looks like mid December but no notification from Ford. I had to ask the dealership to try to get more detail. All they could see was as of 11/22 it's still in assembly. Is been a full month "In Production" and the online tracker still shows a estimated delivery date of 11/27 - not gonna happen.
My XLT FX4 Lux has been "In Production" since 10/18 with an estimated delivery date of 11/27. I'm seriously doubting I'll see it then but hoping to be surprised.
I probably want to trade out the Pirelli Scorpions when my Maverick comes in (In production this week - Hopefully). Can any one tell me exactly what type of Scorpions come with the FX4? Looking at the Discount Tire Website I see:
Verde A/S Plus
Verde All Season Plus II
All Terrain Plus
All...
Ditto for me AND the wheels are the nicest ones offered on my humble opinion. So those factors alone made it worth the FX4 price in my book. The rest is gravy and will probably enhance resale, if I ever sell it.
Being in South Carolina and wanting a lighter color, I was sold on the Cactus Grey from the start but tempted by the Area 51. When I went to the dealer to order, they happened to have an Area 51 Bronco Sport and a Cactus Grey Ranger. To my eye the Cactus Grey looked like a pretty true light...
This will be my first Ford, though my father had a beautiful 68 Ford Fairlane Convertible, 302 that he bought special order. I've had too many cars to list - all used foreign (BMW, Lexus, Mazda, Honda etc.) because I found the build quality to be better. Never thought I would buy a new car or...
My order was produced at the dealer directly from the Ford retail website. The Eco engine & AWD adds about $3,300 from Ford. Beach Ford adds $491 dealer prep fee - that was it.
