I believe it as I've seen impressive numbers off mine. I'm seeing the EPA rated city mpg with highway miles at 60 or 65 mph with some 30 mph zones through town, all electric of course. 50.9 on the readout for that trip when I arrived at my destination. Was a 110 mile trip and I'm betting ten...
On the hybrid a stong head or crosswind will absolutely tank the mileage. On a 180 mile trip from Duluth to my home I saw the instant mpg average readout start at 40+ or so and head down to as low as 19.
Yes. The Maverick is one of the few vehicles I have owned that it is easy, very easy, to exceed the EPA mileage rating. About 7,000 miles on mine and at my last fill using figures from the odometer and the pump I got 53.9 MPG.
I have a light to moderate driving style and this was a pretty even...
Well that is good news but I wonder if your location doesn't have something to do with the analysis. I can't help but think a wider range of temperatures, especially subzero cold and more short trips, wouldn't suggest a shorter interval. Dunno.
My decision was based entirely on price point and that I was driving a 2000 S10. The Maverick was new, affordable and I was done turning wrenches on a 23 year old rusty truck that got 8 mpg in town. Now, at about 6,300 miles I'm averaging 50 mpg in mixed driving with this most current tank and...
We bought a 97'. Yes the look was not well received but I liked it. Similar to the restyled fourth generation Chev. Caprice.
Honestly that Taurus was one of the more reliable cars I've owned. No problems ever with that 3.0 Vulcan.
I've had a few people ask me what I thought of it and I'm happy to tell them. I'm 6'4" and around 240 lbs. and have no problem with comfort and that seems to surprise most. Better yet is the MPG. Its easy to get high numbers as long as you drive like your in a drivers ed or fuel crisis...
I disregard the minder and examine the the color and odor of the oil instead. From your profile I see that you are in Georgia, I'm from Minnesota. Our climates are very different and condensation in the crankcase is a problem in the cooler and colder months here. About a solid third plus of...
I was told once by a former employee of the now closed St Paul plant that the components made in Mexico and shipped to Minnesota would often have "extras" in the shipping barrels. The "extras" were tarantulas. I suppose the Mexican who packed the parts got no end of laughter imagining the look...
Honestly it came down to price point for me so I opted for the hybrid with an added block heater, hitch and dealer installed bedliner. Now that the less expensive base model is the EcoBoost I'd imagine that would be my preference today.
Either one is okay IMO. I enjoy the high mpg in the...
Minnesota location and American Family on a 23' with comprehensive coverage is about $1200.00 annually.
$5600.00 sounds ridiculous unless there are circumstances we are not aware of and even then, sheesh.
I just noticed you have a very famous photo in your ID area. Not many people probably know who he is, what he is doing and why he did it!!
Curtis B only one other fourm member has asked me that. This was my response.
I was wondering when someone would notice that.
Two reasons... 1.) It's a...
I make use of mine and I'm from Minnesota as well. The only benefit I see are easier starting, faster warmup and if it isn't bitterly cold you can leave on electric power right away, depending on the temperature or if your calling for heat in the cabin.
On my 23' hybird I've received several battery save notices, one recently with our colder weather (-12 F). Never not started but my daily commute is short, three miles one way. I do think the hybird needs to be driven more than that on a somewhat regular basis to avoid that warning.
I do let...
