Anybody have any complaints on their 8 inch screen? I have a hard time see anything on it unless it's cloudy and then it is not good. Is there a trick to up the brightness? My ex Escape was excellent for viewing with no problems.
More years than what I want to remember I had a Nash where the seats could fold level with the back seat and you could use the car as a camper or what ever. Cars were a lot wider then and the bed would be queen size. This option was available for years until Ameriac Motors were bought by...
As I was leaving a shopping area yesterday My 2023 XLT Maverick made a very loud KLUNK and the Electric quit, I was able to coast (well I thought it was coasting) to a parking spot, thanks to a slight down hill slope. The power needle was in the up position and nothing worked on the shift dial...
What's with all the security honking when I try to open any door after shutting off my truck. The only way to stop it was hitting the unlock button on the fob even though none of the doors were locked? This has never happened before and this is kind of strange.
Passed a vehicle and hit 90 in my XLT Hybrid, took a look in the mirror and the Tonneau cover was flapping pretty good by the tailgate but held on. Most of the cover is under a vacuum created from air currents coming off the roof that are nulified by downward air flow in front of the gate. No...
A few years back I had a Lincoln Mark VII that was the best driving car I ever owned, It hugged the road like it was glued to it with its adaptive steering and excellent suspension and felt it could drive it's self. I'll tell you what my 2023 XLT is very similar to the Mark VII and runs a close...
I found that Ford that as of March,1rst put up web site for anybody to order Ford accessories online using Reward Points, or Credit cards and will ship to any address.. Anybody have any experience using the site?

Ordered a Tonneau cover from Amazon to save bucks $189, the quality was excellant as was the fit. Only took an hour to put it on and admire. The lettering took 4 min after whipping down with alcohol.
I have a 23 XLT hybrid and averaging 44.3 mpg on the digital read out. My last fill up with 443 miles using 10.3 gallons or factual 43.0 mpg. Close enough.
My Maverick XLT Hybrid is one of the better handling vehicles I've had in years, I had a Lincoln Mark 7 that was the best of them all and my Maverick is a close 2nd the way it clings to the road with it's handling characteristics. The steering effort is a little heavier than I like and I was...
For years up until the 50's even though they changed oil evry 3,000 miles they flushed the engine every year using kerosene by running it thru the engine while running to flush it clean. That's a fact.
How often do you change your oil on a hybrid? Ford recommends 0-20w Synthetic Oil at 7-10,000 miles for Hybrids. Now if 1/3 of your mileage is electric you should be able to extend oil changes. Using synthetic oil I always went 10-20000 on my previous vehicles before changing it with no...
I remember when the Mustang was introduced as an affordable sports car for the masses and quickly became a icon that has lasted to this day. The Maverick is quickly following it as an icon for trucks of which the other big mfg's will be trying to get in on the game like they did on the Mustang...
