well I look at the Hyundai Santa Cruz Turbo as a ranger comparator not Maverick because I think the Hyundai turbo will cost WELL over 40k starting.
but they might offer the hybrid day 1. But because the Bronco Sport doesn’t currently have it and the escape and Explorer hybrids were delayed a...
Interior is very similar to Bronco Sport. I imagine the options and packages will be very similar as well.
meaning the FX4 will likely have a DUAL CLUTCH diff. Will be a very capable off road truck.
Aro
Just over 4,000lb with 4 people in it. 190lbft and 8speeds should still SCOOT.
gotta remember the 1995 Ranger 4.0 only had 30 more lbft and a 4 speed and still moved pretty good and weighs about the same.
I hope so too! There’s definitely a market for it. Just on all the new fords, Explorer, Escape, Bronco sport and Bronco the bigger engine is only available on the top trim or 2. And to be fair the 1.5L is still just as good as anything in the compact/ subcompact class. The 2.0 is just WAY better.
the bed appears to be just under 2 tires long. And it looks like it has the same tire options as the Bronco sport (28.5” diameter) that makes the bed right around my 54” guesstimation
The nice paint is either for
Race Red 3 coat, Pearl white 3 coat and if available that yellow orange 3 coat.
And heated seats is usually available on all trims excluding the lowest. But tied into a “cold weather package”
so pick what trim you want and add $2000 and you should be in the ball park.
I can respect that. It’s just I look at it as. If your already spending the money get mor for it. But if you are actually going to be using the bed and don’t need the frills. Yea base Ranger or Frontier is right up your ally.
my Grand Marquis is “Forrest green” but it’s like one drop of green in the tan paint. But I LOVE green cars. It is the least common color for new cars.
thats one of the reasons for “former” it wasn’t bad pre launch. But after the reveal, it was a mad house. I couldn’t keep up any more. But it was fun. Lol.
so you’ll buy a stripped out base model RWD midsized truck for the same price as the 2.0 AWD compact Maverick well equipped?
just Confused on that logic
I would LOVE a Maverick RS! Give me a 2.3L (300hp 325lbft) same AWD system that’s on the Bronco Sport Badlands. But lower it with sport suspension. 19”wheels with summer tires. And recaros.
would HOPE for a manual but I could deal with the 8 speed.
I would guess 54 long. (Box Opening at top) Bigger than the Santa Cruz (48”) slightly worse than Ranger (58”) and Ridgeline (59”)
width ~54” (~42” between the wheels)
height ~14”
XLT, (SE on Escape or Big Bend on BS) you get
$600 Premium paint
$1500 cold and convinces package (power seats, dual climate, leather wheel, LED lights, key pad, power gate, remote start)
$900 Ford 360+ assistance
$1300 appearance package (bigger wheels, black/ chrome trim)
$1500 roof rails...
most car companies define rear leg room as a point from the back of the seat to the front of the seat. Then from the front of the seat to the floor at the back of the seat. (With the front seats max back)
