That's not quite correct
Just tested this again. Leaving the window down and locking the fob in the truck. My perimeter plus alarm, and basic alarm is still activated. If you open the door it will set off the alarm, even if you push unlock inside on the door.
UNLESS, You push the start button...
I thought the same thing when I tested this a few years ago.

Just put mine in my 2022 Lariat Hybrid.
Curious why mine has another cable along the battery and the negative side, that I don't see in yours.
A large sledge made quick work of the bottom tabs.
Got a final, hopefully, Remote features disabled message just before swapping the battery.🥴
Nice write up.
I was going to get a Weize/Anlibatt H4 from Amazon when I got around to it.
Getting battery saver frequently on my 2022, on it's 2nd lead acid battery.
May grab this H5 for $125.

No extended warranty on my 2022.
Engine was replaced for free at 40,000 miles by Ford under CSP.
Half shaft replacement is covered for 150,000 mi or 10 years.
Heat exchanger replacement is covered for 100,000 miles I believe.
4+ years with my 2022, drove home 3/30/2022.
Still love it after 54k. Only 14k on the engine that was replaced at 40k under the Longblock replacement CSP.
Well I was going to try the brake light in the hitch attachment. Got it in today, but on the first drive I noticed I get the message " blind spot and cross traffic alert deactivated trailer attached."
That's not going to work for me. Is there a way to disable that? Or I guess I should say...
I think I'll order one of these, they are $129 right now. Been getting deep sleep notifications regularly the last week on my now three-year-old duralast Gold.
