Thanks! I could have sworn I looked at the procedure in the manual before I changed my battery. But, if I did, I managed to forget by the time I swapped out my battery.
It's interesting that all four bolts on the rear were too long for your hood and only the rear corner bolts were too long on mine. It would probably be best if they just make all of the bolts shorter, including the front ones, to make installation fool proof.
My Maverick replaced a 2018 Honda Odyssey. I decided that I want to get a larger dual sport motorcycle. There's no way that would work with a minivan as my tiny motorcycle barely fits. I don't trust hitch racks and parking with a trailer in many of the trail parking areas can be a challenge...
I just installed my hood insulation kit a few days ago. The attachment screws for the bottom corners are too long and they dented my hood. I'm relieved to say that the dents went away when I backed out the screws. Had I tightened them more, it could have meant an expensive trip to the body...
