since my truck went into deep sleep mode 22 hrs last saturday after i got the truck back from the dealer friday afternoon declaring my battery was good, and my brand new ancel battery tester said it was also good, i charged it to full last night (connected directly to the battery terminals) and...
Iowa and Michigan. Two worn out football programs. Wait, sorry, I meant worn out old nuclear plants. Gents, the need is for M-O-N-E-Y. I spent 20 minutes looking at this. One plant is owned by a company based in Jupiter, FL!! The other is based in Juno Beach, FL. Those towns are 5 miles apart...
FWIW, here's the test results. This is an OEM FLA (replaced under warranty) that's just over a year old. We'll see what happens. I did order a battery tester from Amazon so I can at least have a little more information when it starts misbehaving again.
I haven't heard about the rotunda testing results, but the rep said SSM 53801 'doesn't show anymore'. They're going to go after SSM 54632 now. i guess since ford couldn't correct the ACCM software, they're going after the ABS software now. '....update expected to be available in late Q2 of 2026'...
i just texted a request for it, thanks. the service rep texted me late last afternoon that the state of health of the battery was 8% and would get back to me, with Rotunda results.
i top off my not-daily drivers on the 1st of the month. i topped off the mav 4/17 as i planned to drive it mon the 20th. it was solid standing green after a couple of hours. i moved it from underhood to the battery directly and it went to solid green in about 3 or 4 minutes. it should not have...
6 hours charging now, still on the first red led. but it somehow managed to find enough juice somewhere to send me a 'entered deep sleep message' in the ford app just now :crackup:
i'll be testing this theory this afternoon. 5900 miles. charged to full last friday. drove 75m each day mon and tues. had all interior lights mon morning. idr tues morning. deep sleep msg at 2am wed morn. bricked this morning. been on the noco5 for 5 hours and still on the first red led. going...
I'm on the fence about this.
I want to find a solution to my battery charge/discharge problems.
But right now I get more DMs from my Ford App than WhatsApp and FB Messenger combined.
I did not know that, thanks! I just assumed they would just throw infinity OEM equipped parts at it until the warranty expired.
I'll just wait and see if it bricks itself, again. I'm under warranty until 01/27.
When i charge under hood i connect the negative cable to the oddball vertical post on the driver side inner fender. The G5 is not anywhere near a heat source. It usually goes to a solid green after a couple hours. that's how it goes with my suburban, as well. I can move the negative to a body...
Yes, i always leave it locked. Always.
37 miles takes about 50-55 minutes. That's one way, so 150 miles in 2 days. No A/C. I like to play the MPG game.
Never got to a solid single green on the Noco. Thinking the battery has gone bad like the original.
i charge my batteries on the 1st of the month. i'm on the 2nd battery (from 03/25) replaced under warranty. Noco G5 charger. usually connect under the hood. hits a solid green after 3 hours or so. got a deep sleep msg sunday. drove 37.5 to work monday, deep sleep msg. drove home, deep sleep...
