I'm in the exact same boat with a nearly identical build. My dealer told me it was too late to make changes to my build despite me not getting a VIN or any other info from Ford. I would take the spray in bed liner right off the sheet if it meant I would get the Maverick faster.
Seems like more XLT hybrids, then Lariats, then 1 or 2 XL's. I personally would have been just fine with the XL if it had cruise control. I would have even taken manual roll up windows 😂 but I MUST have Cruise Control.
I'm an XLT Hybrid Velocity Blue, sunroof, Co-Pilot 360 and spray in bedliner. Order confirmation from Ford on 06/17. No VIN notification yet.
I've had many trucks in my life and all seem to have provided more power than the Eco Boost. Ford had me when I heard "40 MPG". SOLD SOLD SOLD !!! I...
For the many folks who have not received the "Confirmation" email from Ford, please check your Junk/Spam folder. My Outlook blocked all Ford emails before I "Permitted" them.
FYI, I called the dealer today to change my Order (remove spray in bed liner, etc..) but they said "Ford had pulled it...
The Subaru Outback/Crosstrek/Forester all have 8.7" of ground clearance. The Maverick FX4 will have 8.6" of ground clearance. I've got no idea how off-road worthy the FX4's AWD system will be.
Thank you for that awesome link!! I've been playing with the numbers myself and they show that West Coast prices are diverging further above the U.S. average every year.
You CAN order an XLT 2.5 Hybrid with CVT fwd. That particular build option, however, will be AFTER the initial 2.0 EB builds. You will have to wait longer, but you can absolutely get just what you want. I suggest you find another dealer.
Any idea if the Hybrid will be Flex Fuel compatible? I would consider the ability to run E85 a Bonus. My Flex Fuel Tundra feels like an extra 50hP on E85. The computer sees you're using E85 and adjusts the injectors accordingly. Mileage drops to 9 mpg, but DANG it's a fun tank of fuel. E85...
My hybrid is getting lowered by any means necessary. Maverick is going to bring back the 80's sport truck market, just wait and see. ;) Now, to figure out a way to chop the roof and back doors off...........
LOL. My first car was a 1978 Mustang II with the 2.8 V6 and C4 auto. It was a very bad choice. The solid lifter cam and rockers always ticked and had to be adjusted constantly. My Dad and I finally replaced the engine with a 302 V8, but that opened the next can of worms with the transmission.
60 mile round trip at 11mpg to see a vehicle that may or may not be there. I know it's only a wasted hour and $15 in gas. No need for me to get a hybrid.
Honestly, my comment was about the lack of an example to "just test drive" so I came to the forum to ask the opinions of those who have...
