How do dealer allocations factor in now that the order bank is getting down to barebones? Does Ford stick to monthly dealer allocations and just fill any empty allocations with dealer orders or do allocations go out the door and Ford just fulfills customer orders before dealer orders?
Also, Iām...
There were roughly 50k total orders in the order bank before MY24 scheduling began. Weāre at almost 20k scheduled in the first two months.
I think a few new orders have come in since scheduling started. We havenāt seen the latest update on order bank size and constraints.
They had it already along with my 2024 order sheet which I delivered this morning in person and asked if they needed any other info. Yea, I get it. I put too much faith in the dealer. Cost me a Maverick but I guess I wonāt make the mistake again. Back to looking for a new car.
I was at my dealer at 9am. I turned over a copy of my build using the price sheet and they said they understood and would place it as soon as the order banks opened. Got a call 20 minutes after I walked out the door and they didn't understand the pricing sheet and that the Lariat came standard...
I think itās almost certainly the Build and Price being wrong. The cost of AWD and Hybrid is likely consistent across the trims. It would be odd for the cost of the Hybrid to be an extra $1500 on top of the $1500 price increase for 2024 hybrids.
I think itās more likely that the Build and Price...
The Lariat hybrid price is $1500 more than I expected. When going from EB to Hybrid the price increases which is not consistent with the price sheet. Anyone else confirm?
I think they might be adding the $1500 on top of the $2200 for the AWD. Instead of simply subtracting the $720 from the EB +...
I think someone answered your question but Iāll respond just in case. Yes the EB is standard but so is AWD. With the Hybrid being FWD only, when you make the switch youāre subtracting AWD but adding Hybrid.
AWD cost is $2220
Hybrid cost is $1500
-$2220 + $1500 = -$720
In your initial...
According to other comments earlier in the thread you donāt add the $1,500 Hybrid charge for the Lariat. The EB + AWD is $2220 up charge but comes standard on the Lariat. The Hybrid is a $1500 up charge.
2220 - 1500 = 720
So your build difference would go from $2,430 to $930. Still a large...
I'm having trouble understanding the interior color options. Were there any changes to the limitations offered in 2023? The Lariat trim came standard with the Desert Brown and only had Black Onyx as an option with the BAP. Has this changed at all? Would love to not have to get the BAP just to...
Lol, feels bad that my eyes can't pick that out! It's the brown that I have an issue with. Still going to wait for 2023 MY to see if they offer a better color.
Whoops. My mistake. I am a bit color blind. Shows me, I should have read the spec sheet rather than trust my eyes looking at a webpage.
Still not a fan. But to each their own. Probably would have been ok if it were Black/Blue. But the Brown in general ruins it for me. Waiting for 2023 MY for...
Very possible. As someone in the "younger" age range (early 30s), I'm fairly put off by it. But I've never liked black and brown together. Brown shoes/belt with a black suit is still a faux pas in my book. I don't like those new black-tipped brown shoes either.
There must be a more...
This is the answer right here. I don't know who came up with the idea of a two-tone brown/black interior for the top level trim, but I don't think it was a good choice. Some love it, some hate it, but the real problem is its so polarizing. I would really like to understand the cost/benefit...
But each trim level has its own interior design, so thatās 3 different interior options alone. They could have at least offered those 3 options at each trim level.
Donāt listen to me. Iām just bitter I have to wait a year or two until an interior color I actually like is available for the Lariat.
I donāt know how they possibly arrived at the conclusion that only one interior color option was a good idea. Moreover, to pick a two-tone with brown as the standard for their premium trim is just dumb. Itās a very polarizing design. They would have been much better off with a more conservative...
