  1. Ran the numbers on miles it takes to "Break Even" with the higher price of the Hybrid Maverick 🙇🏻‍♂️💰

I lived in Colo Springs, CO for a couple of years. Drove a '93 Ford Escort wagon with FWD. I had fun passing all these big trucks stuck in ditches because they had 4WD and allegedly didn't need to slow down. Scariest parts of driving home was going up hill with cars coming at you from above...
  2. Ran the numbers on miles it takes to "Break Even" with the higher price of the Hybrid Maverick 🙇🏻‍♂️💰

I lived in TX from 2010 to 2018, I had literally hundreds of electric providers to choose from, and could pick terms from month to month (those paid out the nose back in 2021, from my understanding), all the way to 36 and 48 months. My meter fee (availability charge) is a bit higher than yours...
  3. Thanks for all the fun guys, but I’m done

https://www.f150gen14.com/ don't know what generation the 2016 F150 is, but you can try this link.

Nah, you can have all them CAlifohrniahns. They don't know how to drive in the snow, so they are right at home in TX. And last I checked it's almost the same distance from LA to Austin, TX, as it would be to my neck of the woods.

I am not sure how you got to $1.25/gallon. I assume that you are referring to your comparison between the Mav Hybrid and the EB? The Niro was introduced as a Hybrid only vehicle in 2017, by 2020 (the model year I have) they had a hybrid, a PHEV, and an EV version. The hybrid gets 49 mpg...

Well, they would have to get fairly lucky, because you have to buy the electricity from the provider for your specific area. When we bought our place 12 years ago I didn't know anything about the providers (and their differences), so let's just say we got soooo lucky. We have a co-op as our...

Good work on the numbers. I, too, enjoy hitting people with numbers until their eyes glaze over and they just agree with me to make me stop. I live in NE WA, our gas right now hovers around $4.50 (E87). I drive a Kia Niro EV and pay $0.068/kWh at home. Look for my comments in the "would you...
  8. Tow hitch cam! ==> Put tailgate in 1/2 open position

we previously owned a 2011 (12?, 13?, don't quite remember) F150 Lariat with a backup camera. Tiny screen incorporated into the left side of the rear-view mirror. After a few years of ownership I discovered you can zoom the camera to better view your tow-hitch. Game changer!

    Pacific Northwest Mavericks

@spttrk23 turns out, it's not you, it's them. That is a stupid feature. I've posted on the main page, just inserted pictures from my computer into the text. But here it appears you need to first have them uploaded to "some" site. I guess you could make a post in one of the other forums with...

    Pacific Northwest Mavericks

I just copy and paste them. At the top of the text box where you can work on font size etc is also an option for inserting pictures.
  11. If they made a full EV Maverick, would you buy, switch? [ADMIN WARNING: NO POLITICS]

Pardon my failure to list all types of liquid fossil fuels and instead just call them all "gas". I should've known that as soon as I let some snark fly it's going to come back to haunt me.
  12. If they made a full EV Maverick, would you buy, switch? [ADMIN WARNING: NO POLITICS]

Why do all nay-sayers think that we won't improve on the grid and grid management is beyond me. Do you know where people used to buy their gasoline for their cars? For some, it was at the pharmacy. The first gas stations weren't opened in the US until the late 1910s...
  13. XLT Hybrid "Built" in March?

You should find the post from the guy who was just (yesterday) told by his dealer that they got a Maverick in his name that isn't the Maverick he ordered. Something about having options he didn't order, and they couldn't hold the vehicle on the lot overnight. Jump on that vehicle, it should be...
  14. New to me Discovery today

Can't say that my car works like that. I was constantly fighting the car over where in the lane I wanted to be, while the car wanted to take every single exit, because that's where the white line went. I'm doing much better with it turned off.
  15. New to me Discovery today

I'm right there with you. I have both lane keeping and lane following assist on my current car (not quite sure what the difference is, other than one of them has a physical button, while I had to find the other one in the settings on the digital display). If it's on, I have to fight the car...
  16. I’m getting excited… what does this really mean?

It's been almost a month! Did you get your truck yet?
  17. Old man from Spokane

Hi there! I live in Chattaroy myself. You should head on over to the Clubs section and join the PNW club. I am still waiting for mine to get built. Did you buy yours from Corwin's lot, or did you get your order fulfilled?
  18. * questions for owners that live in mountain areas

I currently own a FWD Kia Niro EV, before that I had a VW Alltrack. Except for the excessive torque on my Niro (curtesy of the electric motor) I don't notice anything majorly different. I've only owned two AWD vehicles (that I actually drove in snowy conditions), but many more FWD vehicles...
  19. UAW Hermosillo

Yes, imagine that. A KOREAN manufacturer building their cars in KOREA. I don't know about you, but I have no problem buying a quality foreign-made product (while a comparable US-made option was not available) AND supporting unions in the US. No, Tesla was not an option for me (nor will it...
