I've always thought there are two different types of quality. One is dependability and longevity, and the other is the quality of the vehicle as an experience. If it's more of a sporty car, how does it handle and accelerate, if it's more luxury, how does it ride and feel while you're driving it...
Talk about carrying water. ...he's not complaining that it doesn't have an in door umbrella a'la rolls Royce or the materials aren't high end , he's talking about dependability and Ford's ability to fix issues.
It's not a Yugo
Excuse my ignorance on the subject but is this basically an issue with just the stock battery or the battery management? I mean if it's the battery only to me it's definitely worth just spending the money to get a better one to make the vehicle usable
I guess it depends. I've had a VW golf for 8 years and haven't had any issues at all except for a leaking sunroof gasket which they promptly replaced under recall. Granted it doesn't have a ton of miles on it but so far so good. Knock on wood. I still think if you're paying $30,000 or more for...
I think the hybrids are less reliable in the short term but likely more reliable long term than the EB. The transmission seems more robust, no DI carbon issues, turbo issues long term. From what I've read the hybrid issues are more software/ tech related and potentially able to be rectified
I don't know about CV axle issues in front wheel drive. I haven't had any issues and my cars until the one was getting close to 100,000 mi on it. Currently my wife has a Honda CRV, with a drivetrain you're talking about and I'm trying to get her to trade it in because of the issues they have...
Besides currently not having a car payment and not excited about having one this is the one thing that's holding me back. I haven't owned an American car in a long time and I know the quality has improved generally speaking but I've been reading a lot of issues about the Maverick out here. I'm...
Hey, that was really nice of you. While we're on the subject, is there anybody the suburbs of Philly, Bucks county? In particular, who wouldn't mind letting me take a little drive in their hybrid. I'll grab you a nice six pack of whatever is your preference
Thanks man. But to be real about it all. Thieves are stealing catalytic converters like crazy. So you don't have to worry about that with an EV. You have to worry about cables getting stolen. But most people do 95% of they're charging at home. If I lived in the city and I didn't have my own...
I wouldn't like reduced driving range but again yeah how many days is it. But I get it if some people have a situation where it would really affect their day-to-day life. It wouldn't affect me. I don't think though. I live 3 and 1/2 mi from my job so a slight drop in range when it really matter...
That's why I don't own a car at all because a thief might steal it. I don't know a house either because somebody might break into it. So what I do is I sleep under a bridge. I don't own the bridge so I don't have to worry about it
Sounds like these are celery jobs so probably less to do with production cuts with different types of vehicles. Yeah things like AI are going to take a lot of White collar jobs as well. They probably want to try to blame it on EVS as usual but those jobs are probably going anyway
Smaller cars would make sense but good luck with that. And if the government told you you couldn't drive that big ass brodozer most people ride around in or manyvat least you would start complaining about the guvment telling you what to do. Does it bother you that the government says your car...
