Again, thank you for your reply. I fully agree with you. So what is my best solution? Stay with original tire size? I was going to install a lift but after reading all the horror stories, I decide not to.
A lift kit does not accomplish what I want: more ground clearance under the differentials and I understand destroy the cv joints.
Thank you so much for all your valuable information and help.
Tonight I watched the very informative video:
Thank you for reply. I am not familiar with tires sizes. I am not looking for a wider tire but for a taller tire to increase the ground clearance. Which size should I choose?
thank you again.
I shall use my Mav mostly like car but also drive on gravel roads/light off road quite often. I want traction and puncture resistance and a slightly taller tire for more ground clearance with out a lift. In addition where I live, we can get, from time to time, quite a bit of snow.
To gain some ground clearance without out a lift, I would like to install the next size taller then the OEM which I believe would be 235/70/17, the original being 225/65R/17
I am sure that they already are tons of posts about best replacement tires for the maverick but I cannot find them.
I ma going to have a 2025 XLT AWD Hybrid at the beginning of next year.
One of the first thing I want to do it to replace the tires.
I shall be driving mostly on pavement but I...
I checked the Ford's website a few minutes ago and they tell me that my 2025 Maverick XLT hybrid is under construction headed of schedule. It was supposed to be started on 12/02/2024. I am surprised.
That would be quite a bit of work, but after watching this video, it seems that there is a possibility to install front hooks on all mavericks.
