Damn, that has to be very frustrating!
Give us update on how you feel about the Hertz sound quality. I'm not upgrading anytime soon, but I have an idea which direction I want to go with an upgrade down the road.
What morels do you have? I have been checking different components they offer. Every forum for car audio most ppl say morel when ppl ask for suggestions.
If you don't mind me adding my two cents in on the 6.5" subwoofers.
I went with a more economical choice but I am enjoying the CT sounds 6.5" meso. They have two different box builds on their site for them. A SQ enclosure that is sealed which sounds like you are leaning towards this. I went...
I am getting my signal from the JL loc 22 from the factory HU. The new amp is powering the component speakers I installed, but the passive crossover comes with "image" tweeter connection. The manufacturer states to use this with regular tweeters. This is something I'm trying out. So they are...
I did my install this weekend. Your assessment of it just being the added sub and amp is pretty spot on. I took the door speakers out and replaced them. They looked like the same speakers in non B&O systems which is disappointing. I was going to keep the factory tweeters in use but now I'm...
I agree. MSRP+dealership fees (as long as not crazy amount added on) is a fair deal in this market right now. I priced out a maxed out "pro series" nissan frontier while waiting on a fuel tank replacement. Now, the frontier I inquired about had just about every option, but they still wanted...
Same. My sales person was Frank Serverius at Bozard Ford in St. Augustine. He was great through the whole process. Communicated as quickly as he could whenever I had questions. They were very patient even with me freaking about the delay because of the fuel tank issue. Anything Lincoln or...
My dealer too and could not of had a better experience buying (besides the fuel tank issue, but not dealers fault). Anyone buying a Ford near Jacksonville, FL area should definitely give Bozard Ford a chance. They are excellent.
Another update. Salesman text me yesterday saying new fuel tank arrived and he hopes with a little luck that they can have it done today. Maybe I can get a my maverick in the next few days. Wish me luck!
I hear ya. Being pushed back since first week of November. Getting excited with photos of my truck being offloaded from transport with a “Merry Christmas” text, then the next day having the rugged pulled out from under me because of the fuel tank. This is my first ever Ford purchase. This thing...
Take this bit of info with a grain of salt. I reached out with my weekly question of a status update for my salesman. He responded back with the tank has been ordered and on its way. Hopefully this is true and I will finally get my Maverick, but I'm not holding my breath just yet!
Haha, Ya I'm sure my dealer is tired of hearing from me. They have been great and none of this is their fault. Unfortunately, they are all the communication I have for this screwed up situation.
All of us affected feel your frustration. My original delivery was supposed to be Nov. 7 and it sat at rail yard from that date until Dec 21st. Then dealership dropped fuel tank to show it had holes, and like you I hope for February/March delivery. It sucks.
Ya, my last upgrade was a brand new 2000 civic. I have grabbed a few things for the install already, but this wait for fuel tank to get this truck finally is wearing on my patience.
I have had to talk myself out of grabbing a nissan frontier off a lot as I know I will kick my self later for...
Need, nope, but for me personally for a daily driver. I want a good sound system, but we are all different, and this thread is about upgrading and adding a sub.
I was looking at the JL-LOC 22 as it has a few things built in to deal with factory head units. Such as the low input signal switch that seems pretty useful.

I am just a little curious. When you go to install the after market amp do you not want to use a LOC (Line Out Converter) to get your signal from the factory head unit?
