Here is a new one for you. I am dead in the water right now too.
I did the "fix" in February already. As you can see in the first picture. All good since then. Recently I noticed that the screen reset some time while the truck was off. It happened a few times but never a dead truck. Then a few...
We finally invested in the Roadmaster base plate and flat tow since October last year. So much nicer. We did have it installed at a shop. The guy hated the Invisibreak. Be aware though that you might have to install an extra charging cable to keep the battery charged.
Going up to the observatory at 9200 feet I still got about 46 mpg. It is kind of interesting that on hilly roads you get a better gas mileage. Even works for our RV, a 39 foot gasser with the 7.3 liter Ford. Better gas mileage in the hills.
Coming out of the mountains near Alamogordo, NM. That's not far from White Sands.
On a side note, taking this 6 mile dirt road through the woods, constantly uphill, I got about 6 mpg.
I have the same problem and figured I contact my dealership where I had nothing but a good experience since buying my first Mustang in 2004. Well, their service manager was unwilling to work with me on a solution. He told me to drop the car off and wait 3 to 10 days for a verdict. Ja, no. I...
Yup, you can tow it on a dolly, and we did it again today.
And the computer was bitching again.
It only takes a few yards of driving to reset everything.
We will get the Roadmaster tow kit in a few months.
About $2500 + install. Although I think I will try to tackle it myself.
It's alive. LOL
But seriously, remember that pretty much every new car nowadays has an LTE connection and is reporting home. Everything is connected these days.
And while I wish I could control what is sent back to Ford, I don't see that as a negative thing.
I still have not figured out why it's doing it. It is hit and miss. I too thought of disconnecting the battery. I gave up. No damage was done and the computer resets after a few yards of driving.
Why do the sensors even read when the car is off. Is it because of the electronic parking brake?
We...
UPDATE!
Well, it looks like I have figured it out.
Here is what I did:
Pretty much the same as before. And remember! We have the start button. No key in the ignition.
Truck on the dolly,
turned off,
turn on accessory mode,
turn off e-parking-brake,
turn off accessory mode,
now comes what I did...
Ja, I know all that. It just baffles me that I get all these errors when dolly towing. Even with the push-button start and e-brakes, you should be able to dolly tow without any issue.
Even the official towing guide for wreckers states you can tow the hybrid front off the ground and e-brakes...
Yup, I did try tow mode for a few miles since. It freaked out the computer because the rear wheel sensors are reporting but the front sensors are not.
I really should be able to tow it front wheels on the dolly just like the EcoBoost version. With the e-brake turned off.
Maybe he does think he...
That's maybe where the problem is located.
No key, push-button.
In the off position with e-brakes turned off.
For the heck of it, I since tried tow mode on the dolly. Again no damage was done but boy did that confuse the computer.
LOL
Yes, I read the manual.
In the first line of my post, I stated that we have the Hybrid. Hmm?
And it doesn't look like that anymore either. Went through a carwash and what they say about the decals is true. Oups.
Anyhow, the Hybrid is the only version that can be flat towed. Since it's also...
We just returned from our first camping trip with our Hybrid Maverick in tow.
We towed it on our dolly with the truck turned off, e-brake turned off, not in tow mode.
When I got into the truck for the first time, I was greeted with a barrage of error messages. Anything from E-Brake fault over...
