Really? That's not how it's supposed to work. Doubling you tow capacity on a FWD vehicle makes no sense. Anybody wanting a tow package should know that. You shouldn't be rewarded for ignorance even if Ford was a party to it, especially when people that knew better are not getting the same...
Oh, but the lack of that knowledge does warrant a bonus? That is the type of thinking that is ruining our educational system. The less you know, the more free shit you are "entitled" to, right?
This is infuriating to those of us that KNEW upfront that configuration would not work and bit the bullet and ordered the AWD option up front. If we all don't get the credit for it, this will be a real PR nightmare for Ford. Maybe because they have more orders than they can fill, they won't give...
I just had a very informative conversation with my dealer and he gave me what may be the best explanation of why some people are getting build date ahead of others with an earlier order date even though they ordered the exact same vehicle. It seems that Ford is putting priority on your...

Has anyone that ordered in June or July and not gotten a VIN and build date checked with your dealer to see if ANY of their orders have been confirmed and sent a build date and VIN? Apparently if they didn't enter the order with the proper procedure, they may not ever get back an official...
Yep, in snow and ice, it's all about technic and ability. I used to laugh at the folks in AWD vehicles I had to drive by that were stuck spinning all four wheels and going nowhere. For some strange reason, they would flip me off as I went around them with my FWD Mazda 6.
Never had a AWD or 4WD before even though I've lived in CO, MN, WI where so many other said it was needed. I even grew up in FL and SoCal and still never had a problem driving in snow and ice with 2WD when others got stuck with AWD. I just wanted to see what all the fuss was about. Crazy, huh?
Be nice to know all the order dates so as not to have to look through that order list which isn't even complete. Mine was ordered 8/13 and was a Rapid Red Eco.
Has anyone with an order for a First Edition received a VIN # yet? I don't see any in the list of orders. I know most people don't seem to be updating the list once they are entered. I see orders after my order date that do have VIN's but none are First Editions.
