AutoMate is right. The first dealership I worked with said that the ordering for 2023 was such a headache that even if Ford would take extra orders, they would stick with their allotments to save the trouble. Bad reviews do have an impact and having to field angry status updates wears on folks...
I'd also bet the big used dealers can also harness big data easier. Corporate can look at whats moving and what isn't nationally and adjust. It's harder for your local Ford dealer to do that as quick, and thus, advantage you.
I've seen multiple times dealers charging over 30K on Mavericks with lemon titles. I'll grant you, it looked like they were bought back during the airbag recall and ford's lack of them, but still, It's a lemon title.
I usually feel its management that ends up creating dirty dealing sales folks. Looked at a dealership that was selling cars at MSRP, but had $7000 of dealer ad-ons that they indicated weren't up for debate. I really don't understand what dealership owners are thinking sometimes.
Oh yeah, totally just IMHO. Whatever floats folks boat. Just wish they'd at least given us the new blue color on the XL tier considering how many they took out.
Yeah,in my book black is too much part of that Tacticool look, white is for work fleets, the red is extra, The blue is ok, but I sat there and decided I was gonna get sick of it at some point. So, Cactus it is. Really sucks they axed Area 51.
Yeah, but there's no price protection for 24-25 like there was for 23-24. Part of me wonders if they are gonna make a few small changes and then jack up the price 2-5k.
Since allotments for reorders from last year and new orders this year are the same, they may have run out of slots for new orders. Since they aren't telling you, my bet is they didn't start asking their existing orders if they wanted to reorder until the banks reopened, and now they are stuck...
Got reached out to by the head of Sales to confirm my order, sent me a copy of the preview order. Priority code 19. Dead last. Knowing my luck, I'll be reordering for 2025 :)
Making the hybrid an option definitely gave me pause. The increase really killed the wiggle room I had for options. Most I can add aftermarket, but I had been hoping to get the Copilot. Ordered a bare bones XL and had the price gone any higher, I'd be out. Supply chain issues aside, Ford just...
Oh yeah, the second they made it clear there was no negotiation, I left. Like I said, though, they mentioned it immediately, not after we had started anything, so I will give them some credit there.
Had made an appointment ahead of time for 3pm central yesterday. Dealer wanted to cancel at 2:30 as banks weren't open, but I knew they were supposed to open at 4pm eastern, so asked to still swing by. Met with sales guy. Dealership had told me they were MSRP on preorders, but now stated due to...
I'm really disappointed. Being a super low cost hybrid was the main selling point to me, and now that's out the window. I get the market is nuts, but this just seems like a cash grab.
Hey all, long time listener, first time caller...
Been wanting a Maverick for awhile, and I'm planning on trying to get in on the order banks opening in July. I know there's quite a few threads that talk about the process from a procedure standpoint, but I was curious if anyone had any general...
