Did manual carvana appraisal they offered me $33k on a msrp of $30.8k. Just enough to break even after taxes and fees. I’m guessing the used mav market isn’t big enough for their algorithm to work yet so they might want to be conservative with their offers.
Since a hybrid is usually the upgraded option most cars coupled with the demand for the hybrid greater than the ecoboost with less supply. I think it will easier for more people to rationalize paying over MSRP for those few and far between hybrids that customers don’t take delivery of.
I got an offer from carvana out of curiosity. It took 5 days for the manual appraisal. They offered $33k on my $30.8k MSRP. So pretty much break even after taxes and fees.
I just sold my previous car to carvana and when the guy came to pick it up he said they just bought a Bronco sport with 15k...
Just finished 3rd tank. 89 octane. Roughly 50/50 city highway, with highway average speed around 80 mph. Onboard calculator said 27.2mpg and manually calculated mpg was 24.8 mpg.
Since I sold my previous car to carvana I thought would see what they would offer on my maverick. It was a manual offer that took 5 days to get. Offer was $33k on $30.8k MSRP truck, so after taxes and fees pretty much break even offer price. Not planning on selling, but interesting to see.
When...
Did you keep your hybrid order? Similar situation here. Ordered hybrid and ended up with AWD. My plan is to test drive the hybrid when it comes in and decide what I want to keep.
I was initially interested in the maverick because of the price and hybrid. Placed an order back in June. Needed a new car before my hybrid would be delivered so bought an awd eco. My plan was to just trade in the eco when the hybrid arrives, but now I’m conflicted. With each fill up my MPG...

This might answer your question. I’m getting 27 mpg with 80-90% city driving.
Similar situation. I have a hybrid on order and ended up buying a awd eco 4k FX4 off the lot. Coming from a sedan so figured a FWD maverick would add enough addition utility over previous car.
Still on the fence if I should sell the eco when the hybrid comes in or not. But I’m coming around to...
I wouldn’t pay above msrp. but in this market you can turn around and make a profit on a car you just bought for msrp so above msrp makes sense in the context of supply and demand.
Where it stops making sense is when you get to ranger price range. I haven’t looked that closely but pretty sure...
I’m guessing that’s a FWD eco? Depends how much you need a car right now. October hybrid order realistically won’t be ready until March-April at the earliest. I have a hybrid on order but bought an ecoboost to avoid having to put a couple grand into my current car and sell it while the market is...
