The Mylar makes it appear shiny in the pic (though I don't notice it at all), black duct tape would get rid of that if it bothered you. I used it to thicken the cardboard, so it wouldn't move around or slide down.
I just folded it over between the vent and the plastics on each side and this...
My rattle came from here as well. Pull on the defrost vent over the cluster and the rattle stops.
I cut a small thin piece of black cardboard (like a 12 pack Dr Pepper box), wrapped it in mylar and tucked it between the forward and aft position of the defrost vent. So it kinda curves over the...
Yep - I was looking for a daily that got good mileage, offered some type of cargo capacity and that I could get at what I thought was a deal. At that time, the Maverick did exactly what I needed it to do (pretty well actually).
I have a 2006 Tundra Limited dbl cab 4x4 with ~83k miles that will be my daily now that I am in retirement. But when I was driving 75 miles a day, the Maverick did what I needed.
If I were to look at buying another truck, I would consider the used market (the Maverick was just my 3rd new...
Great review!
I ordered my XLT Hybrid in August '21 and rec'd it in Oct '22 (without the digital temp knobs...). I have close to 70k on mine and outside of the recalls, as you've mentioned, it's worked out ok.
That said, I'm not interested in purchasing another one when I'm done with this...
The dealer performed the alignment after the axle replacements; my ppw and my discussion with the advisor (before and after the repair) also confirmed this.
My Mav needs the axles replaced, confirmed by the dealer, but the coverage from my extended warranty was denied... After several calls with the dealer and Ford, turns out some claims are auto denied in "error". Looks like we finally got everything covered under the extended warranty, just a...
3M tape holds it up (I actually used this https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B09K58K13V/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&th=1).
I've had mine up for about 11 months / 27k miles and it still holds strong.
Here's the mount -...
This past weekend I hit 27k miles and one year with the truck. Other than the felt on the bed cover being a mess it's been a good truck saving me a good chunk of money on fuel (compared to my 1st Gen Tundra that I still have). I don't get the MPG's some of you do but my commute has me on the...
Black rims are played out, I appreciate the white!
Don't love the hood and agree the whole truck wrapped would look amazing. I just don't have the funds for it...
Altogether nicely done!
Just rolled 19k miles since getting the truck 14oct22. Zero complaints at this point.
Lifetime MPG, per the computer (reset Trip 2 when I picked it up and left it) is 41.5. Probably around 38mpg by hand as I do a lot of interstate driving.
