I remember on older trucks, atleast '70's and prior Chevys, they had metal arms that were used instead of cables. These seemed to work good. They could be disconnected and the tailgate removed easily, they were easily inspected for corrosion and wear, and they certainly could carry loads.
Why...
My '24 Ecoboost is the first DI engine I've owned. I've not experienced fuel diluting the engine oil previously with my other vehicles. At least, that I was aware of.
I live close to work and go home for lunch every day, so have four very short trips each weekday. I don't do many other longer...
I found this recent Ford TSB on another site. It does list the Maverick with Sync 3 as one of the vehicles possibly affected.
If you're experiencing some of the symptoms listed, it might be worth checking out. :)

I just had my Sync 3 updated and thought I'd give the factory voice commands another try. Wholly Cows! Fords voice commands are so far behind Android's, it not funny.
I don't know how advanced GM's voice commands are, but if they're like Fords, they would really be shooting themselves in the...
My plan to use my points for an oil change at the dealership were put on hold as I didn't want them to do the blinker recall at the same time, given all the reports of electrical issues right after the recall was done,so...............
Like a dummy, I decided to take it to Jiffy Lube for my...
In another thread a member shared they use the type device linked below to integrate apps not Supported by AA or Carplay into their Infotainment Center.

I have a Motorola MA1 Android Auto wireless dongle I use with a Pixel 6a phone. I've had flawless service using these except for a recent incident.
On a longer trip my phone battery was running low, so I plugged it in only to charge since it was connected wirelessly already. I plugged it into...
I was checking my security camera's to see how things looked around my house while I was away. I've two garages. In the garage I park my Maverick, I see there was an event where my trucks head and tail lights flashed for just a second. Nothing happened before or after in the garage for hours. I...
Came cross this video and thought it was interesting. Funny, some things are very different now, yet some other parts never changed.
I was just very young kid in 1970. I can remember my dad buying a band new Chevolet C20 pick up in 1974, though, and what a huge decision that was for my parents...
I was having trouble connecting my truck to our home wifi network. Not often needed, but if you want OTA updates, it's required. I searched the internet and found information on a different model Ford forum that worked for me.
If you have a home mesh network and your truck won't connect after...
Just for fun I thought I'd spec a 2024 Tremor build to compare to what I actually did order. The odd thing I found was the "Protective Film Hood/Fenders" was not compatible with the Tremor package.
Any idea why? Aren't the hood and fenders the same parts?
I'm not changing my order, so no big...
I've been using battery tenders on my powersports equipment for years. When I'm done riding the bikes or snowmobile they get plugged in. I don't take the batteries out in off season, either. They stay plugged in. I just changed the battery in my 2014 Tri Glide last fall. It was original and...
Which one the the two pic's below is the dash for a 2024 Lariat with an Eco Boost? I like the temp and fuel gauge of the first one better, but it looks like the information display of the 2nd is larger.
Thanks,
I've been doing some research on wireless dongles to connect my phone to the snyc 3 to use Android Auto. I had narrowed my search to this Motorola version:

But I've also seen this model mentioned a couple times now...
I'm curious on what folks opinions are on build quality of their new vehicles after purchase. My wife and I have only purchased 4 brand new personal transportation vehicles. Two Jeeps and two Ram trucks. I've not been diappointed by any of those, although I wouldn't say they were above my...
Given the wild popularity of Trunk Monkey and with no end to staffing level issues in sight, it was only natural that dealerships might implement Customer Service Monkey to answer customer order e-mails.
Meanwhile, in Hermosillo, 'El-Whiskers is hard at work updating vehicle tracking data.
