mine used to lock itself, too. but ever since i got in the habit of giving the lever the stinkeye when i get out, it has never ever locked itself since.

Finally. An answer to the 148 ft-lbs question. 200 Newton-meters (Nm) is equal to approximately 147.5 foot-pounds (ft-lbs) . X2 on the 'twisting my torque wrench to 148'. Therefore I go to 140 ft-lbs, dry. Same as the Suburban. YTMV.
fwiw, i chose the Mabett in-channel door visors which use only tape to mount, and i've had no problems with them. took a few days for them to take enough of a 'set' so the window motors didn't groan a little bit when closing.
