Yeah, I should have mentioned it, I did the same. The only time I turned the heater on was when climbing a hill and the engine had to run for power anyway. After it warmed up the heater could run while in electric mode, but if it ever made the engine start I shut the heater off.
I should have...
I drive a route that starts and stops at the same place and is 16.5 miles long, so I decided to document the mileage I was getting in normal, ECO, and slippery mode. Some of the variables..... traffic and traffic lights, can't very well be quantified, but weather can be. The surprising thing...
I've noticed the brakes seem inconsistent, especially at low speeds. Sometimes when creeping up to my garage chocks the brakes don't seem to work at all, and then suddenly they do. It also seems like in the rain they are a bit more "grabby". If you switch to slippery mode they seem less...
I think it is intended for the hybrid driver who is just topping a hill with his head down watching the EV Coach while he feathering the gas pedal and watching to see when it switches from hybrid to electric mode, and the car in front of him has stopped.
I have noticed on my Maverick that if it is in "slippery" mode that the brakes seem less sensitive and require more input to stop. You might try that mode and see if it makes your problem/issue go away. If it does, then it would seem to me to be a programming issue.
I'm seeing 1 sometimes 2 every day. I've pulled into restaurant, grocery store, and church parking lots and parked right next to another Maverick 3 times so far. 1 HPR Lariat, 1 Velocity Blue XLT, and 1 Carbonized Gray XL. I was able to talk to the owner of 2 of them.
When gas hits $6 / gallon Ford might be smart to offer peddle power. Maybe peddles for all the passengers, driving a generator to charge a high voltage battery.
I saw 2 today. One in New Boston, south of the Detroit airport, and the other in Plymouth. I've seen 5 total in this area. I think it is like looking for airplanes. If you search the sky looking for them you probably won't wee too many, but it you go to where they are going, the airports...
We spent the whole month of February in Florida, Clearwater, Naples, & Fort Lauderdale and only saw 1 Maverick in Naples, an Area 51 EcoBoost. Saw 2 Santacruz's on Marco Island, 1 black and 1 White. But yesterday here at home I pulled into Busch's grocery store and parked right next to...
You guys had me worried the whole time I was in Florida over this... We left Michigan on 1/31/22 and I left my Maverick in the garage. On Valentines day eve I got a message from my maverick that is was going into deep sleep. My wife suspected it was because I wasn't going to be there for...
Even more impressive is the WeatherTech yacht and house on the intercoastal waterway in Fort Lauderdale. They have to sell a lot of stuff, just to pay the taxes.
Some one should do a poll to see how many people have ever used their remote start. I've got it and have never used it, and have no plans to use it. It just came with the package. I doubt I'm the only person like that, but maybe am.
Just right. Right after I got the Maverick it seemed like when exiting the vehicle it was a little bit like getting out of a tub in that you had to lift your feet a little bit more that I was used to to get out. After having it a few weeks it is not an issue at all now.
Everyone wanting to buy a hybrid should be thankful for all the misinformation on the ecvt transmission. Think how hard it would be to get a hybrid if everyone that avoided it because of the transmission, was actually trying to get one too. It would be MY24 before Ford caught up and you got...
