Even though I don’t tow often; the limitations bother me a little. And the sound and fight between E and gas might get annoying. Plus it seems like that eco is a great engine, fun even. If my commute was more straight forward, not dealing with crazy I-95 or if I didn’t fish etc; it’d be hybrid...

does the fx4 option make the ride more aggressive? Besides size/mpg, the main reason I like these are because their suv like feel. Vs my last Tacoma off road that wasn’t the smoothest. I have no plans of taking it off road but would consider adding for resale assuming it didn’t make it ride rough.

The hybrid I test rode had very little gas, not sure if it matters, but hardly got to use the electric mode. And when I punched it on the hwy it seemed louder and straining vs the eco. Maybe it was just that one or it didn’t warm up etc. Do the hybrids motor kick on and off a lot? I felt it...
