Yeah, I had to take the housing apart and cover it with heat shrink to get it to fit there.
I thought I had a better picture but I basically just installed the PCB board with the volume knob attached completely removed it from the metal housing with screw hole mounts.
The trick is a good clear coat like this I used, once you mix the two part you have 24 hours to use it.
