What is the reason/purpose of that square cutout (and welded back on) near the end of the tailpipe? Is it Lobo only or on all models?
Iâm going to install a Borla Type 3 catback soon & will be removing that OEM piece of tailpipe. Like to know what it is before I recycle it:)

The 2024 & earlier Magnaflow Catback requires a cut be made about 3 inches behind the secondary cat. The 2025 (non GPF) 2.0 EcoBoost has a cut and clamp about 10 inches behind the secondary cat.
