Thanks for the replies. I drove to work today and didn't get the warning. Either it was a glitch or me tightening the positive battery post clamp did the trick. I will have service check it when I go in for my first oil change around 1,000 miles or so.

Should have said it's an ecoboost engine and engine sounds normal. I'll try doing my short drive to work tomorrow and see it tightening that nut fixed the problem.

Currently, I use it more as a "locked glove box" for my registration & insurance but might eventually put a pew-pew in there. Not totally secure but good enough to stop casual thieves.
