Someone commented on here that it looks like a school bus color, and that has just stuck with me. :)
As for the article, the author should have just entitled it, "I like Cyber Orange and hate all the other colors." That said, the zing on Oxford White is pretty funny (how much do I charge for my...
Out of 11 vehicles, 6 of mine have been white, none by choice! I had a couple cars from my parents when I was younger that were white, and then a couple used cars that I bought by necessity. Then two new Ford Fusions that I bought late in the model year for the big rebates, so no choice on...
CR has some weird hangups and preferences, that's for sure. I remember reading about something, might have been an internet router, and they marked it WAY down because set up took like 2 minutes longer. You only set it up once, typically. Seemed like an arbitrary thing.
People say Hondas are...
So, I've had my hybrid Lariat since the first half of June, but it was parked for the first two weeks of ownership while we traveled in Europe (poor timing for delivery!). I drove it on a two week business trip, and I think I've adapted to my new vehicle.
Overall, I love it. I think I've been...
They put Suntek on my Fusion, and it was flawless for 5+ years. The installer makes a huge difference though. The other brand that I read about was 3M, which has a stellar reputation.
IF CR used aesthetics in their ratings, the Ridgeline would be a lot lower -- that's the ugliest truck I've ever seen, it's like a visual nails-on-the-chalkboard for me. The automotive press love it, but the sales level implies that the public doesn't.
The touchpad unlocks all doors, just like touching the inside of the handle. However, you can set both to only unlock the driver's door, for security reasons (so no one can jump into your passenger seat uninvited).
Keep in mind that if you are going down a long slope running on electric, once the battery is full, the hybrid will kick on the ICE instead for engine braking. I had a Fusion Hybrid for six years, and that car had an indicator for the battery level, something I do miss on the Maverick. If I went...
Nope, still a ways to Medicare, but the MD Farm Bureau information said there were some discounts at places like Tractor Supply and some local stores. Maybe I can flash my creds at the farmers' market and score some veggies. :D
I put a ceramic tint on my Fusion Hybrid, and it was a massive difference in heat. What I found amazing was that it was cooler to have the driver's window CLOSED than open if the sun was on that side, even with the reduction in airflow and on cooler days (not using the AC, obviously). I plan to...
Ford keeps changing the military promotion but look very closely at the fine print. My salesman told me that there was a $1000 rebate for military, but I had already seen it -- it was only $500 on the Maverick, which he later confirmed. I know that Ford has a program for veterans as well, but I...
Seems strange since I thought VB was one of the most popular colors chosen (based on the poll on this site). Love my VB Lariat anyway, and most people that I've shown the truck to have commented on how good the color is. The Atlas Blue does look nice, too, though.
I don't remember the specifics, but my order didn't entirely match on the tracking page, either. I seem to remember it had to do with the lux package as well, but when the page updated with the the window sticker, everything was there.
I picked up my Maverick with 10 miles on the odometer, which I think is the lowest I've ever had. My '01 Dakota may have had single digits, but I can't recall exactly.
Anyway, the "miles to empty" number when I drove it home was 309. Now, I've driven it over 100 miles*, and the "miles to empty"...
Now that I've been driving my Maverick for a few days, I think I'll miss the auto-dimming mirrors (rear and side) from my '16 Fusion. That should have been included in the luxury package, IMO.
Apart from that, I think the only other thing will be using the keyfob to open all the windows at the...
For my brand new Lariat, Carvana offered $34,500-ish on a sticker of $31,995. Add tax, and it's not all that high. I've read that Carvana is struggling a little, and I noticed a distinct drop off from a few months ago when I was waiting to sell my 2016 Fusion (before the Mav showed up). I wound...
For mine, I had that status for a few days longer than expected. My build was scheduled for the week of April 25th, then it was in production on the 28th and finally built and shipped in rapid succession on May 2nd. Now it's been in transit for over a month.
I haven't tried to track the rail...
No, I'm not. I've been using them for over 12 years now since I bought a Fusion way back when. My salesman has been pretty upfront about everything, and I don't think they'll pull anything. I've had good luck with their service department over the years, too.
