Ive heard the JL stealthbox is lackluster in performance and accuracy. Ive been very happy with a JL 10tw3 in the Skar fiberglass box. Dont forget to disable the factory bass rolloff in forscan.
You'll need to run wires to the tweeters in order to use the crossover with those front components...
Auto turn-on can be hit or miss. It's really not advisable in the first place because these trucks make a lot of "noise" through the speakers, even when off, that could trigger amps on when you don't want them.
Light reading on what is generally recommended...
Hey,
Just wrapped up a stealthbox install last night and I can't figure out how others are triggering their amp from the subwoofer signal. I'm using the kicker key 500.1 amplifier and read on the forum that folks are using speaker level inputs from the subwoofer to the kicker key amp to source...
...100-200k but my friends daughter needs a car so going to give to her.
my thing is I have a bom sound system in it, oem audio + with jl Stealthbox + 500 watt rms 10w3v3 so I’m going to be losing on bass, but il prob toss 10 inch small compact kicker sub under seat and call it good- also...
If you're willing to spend $800 on the sub and box I personally would go with a 10-in ground shaker box you can get them for either side of the storage cubbies under the rear seat for 225 a piece on ground shakers website. If you have the hybrid you'll need to get the driver side box...
Thanks for the review. I was going to Make my own speaker box since I saw this design. My only concern is the factory battery is garbage. So I would have to upgrade that. Also I love the storage under the rear seats.
I think this is a first on here?
I recently had the Maverick JL Stealthbox professionally installed with a JL Amp and line out converter (LC2i). I paid the standard retail of $799 for it.
It sounds very good; very clean and tight (as expected from JL). The non-premium speakers in the...
So... this one?

$800 unpowered is spendy, but I like it more than the alternatives. At the moment I am not seeing anybody online back off that price with a sale or...
magically reduced from $999 to $799 in less than 24 hours. LOL
btw their Bronco stealthbox is $1199. same woofer, apparently they think Bronco owners have more money and less sense than Maverick owners. https://www.jlaudio.com/products/sb-f-broncg6-10tw1-car-audio-stealthbox-ford-bronco-94718
I'm seeing $799 on there website as well. The subwoofer in the box alone is $350. I had the stealthbox for my Toyota Tacoma and loved it. That one was $1000. They build them right here in Florida. Great product, but you pay for it. Maybe if I ever get some time and feel like getting into car...
...how much volume the enclosure has, but one assumes that they had to use the TW1 instead of a better woofer.
This is typical pricing for a Stealthbox, and yes, it's crazy high. They entered the market high 20+ years ago, and it seems to me like they have gone even higher over time, increasing...
Believe me, I know they are a respected company, and normally I like JL just fine. But if you are throwing that much money at a system for your Maverick, you can get well-made boxes with more volume, and put whatever sub you want in them - or you can just build a custom one. There are already...
I have a stealthbox in another vehicle. It's unbelievably small. The price I paid was ridiculous, but how it performs is also ridiculous. They are top-notch. Would I buy this for my Mav at that price when there are other prefab enclosures made for that same space? Probably not. But I'm sure it...
