We're not making them as smooth as possible. There's lots of pits and gullies and jagged edges that catch the wind under the maverick.
If you were making a racecar, then having a flat bottom with dimples and long skirts as close to the surface as possible would produce a very slippery shell...
You'll notice, if you read my comment again, slowly, that I never said oil separators were new. Only that many earlier DI engine designs did not include them by default. This includes Ford designs. Once carbon buildup became a more noticeable issue, manufacturers began including them to cut down...
Yes. Undercar aerodynamics are hell. this is why modern vehicles have such a tall chin under the front bumper - the less air flows under the vehicle, the less under vehicle bits create massive drag.
Raising the front to "level" the truck makes it easier for air to get underneath and drag back...
The engine will not be happy spinning at max RPM for extended lengths. The power surge you feel is the truck applying more power in a heavy load scenario, anticipating further resistance. If you feel it kicking in and out, thats a good indication the load you are carrying is not heavy enough to...
For loads like this a cheap utility trailer pays for itself. A cheap 4x6 trailer is easy to move, will haul more, and you can beat it up without feeling bad, especially if you buy a used pre dented one. Once it begins to fall apart sell it for scrap and buy another.
Anything that gets dropped...
Carbon buildup is just a fact of life on DI engines. Top tier fuels wont help much....the detergents in the fuel dont touch the valves because DI. Some say it burns cleaner and this makes a difference, I say its astrology signs for car bros.
If you are spraying a cleaner, make sure you do it...
Green is the best color and it is a shame it was a 1 year option. They should have phased out one of the grayscale colors and kept the green.
Not to get too far off topic here, but since significant money is spent to subsidize the fossil fuel industry, we could reduce that subsidy and use that...
Some people take crazy risks. My 91 had the original tires when I bought it....in 2018. They had been towing a 6 ton travel trailer on 20+ year old tires, dry rot and all.
Eh...this is what I get for trusting brave search instead of Google for the spec number
Hybrid oil is found here

Any engine oil that meets or exceeds Ford WSS-M2C961-A1 requirements is fine.
The Bronco forums compiled a list of all 5W-30 oils that meet this criteria.

Because you wanted a less reliable powertrain?
The eCVT is a proven toyota level reliable part, while the 8f35 is an achilles heel with a known design flaw.
It is the same transmission. The 7 speed just disables 2nd gear, which is rarely used in the normal gasser models.
If you keep it in...
Gas brand is like Astrology for car guys. I mean, look how many guys claim that the top tier detergents will keep their valves clean....while running DI engines that dont spray the fuel on the valves, and thus, receive no cleaning, hence why DI engines need periodic valve cleaning done.
Unless...
think about this for a second.
If your transmission is a quart low, and you do as you just claimed.....your transmission with new fluid is still a quart low. You would have no way of knowing, because the only way to ensure it is full is to have a small amount of fluid leave the inspection...
