I'm sure subject has been covered ad nauseam in these forums, but I need to ask again about the best way to connect a battery tender to my 2024 hybrid. The problem is there's so much information, some of it conflicting, I don't know who to listen to.
At first glance, it appears that there are...
Thanks for the reply. Please forgive my confusion, but still not sure what you mean by having a second OBD port. It would seem that plugging in this unit would disable the original OBD port for servicing the vehicle. Is it simply a matter of unplugging the unit for vehicle service, or do you now...
I like the dash cam you recommend, but it's not clear to me how the installation works, particularly the OBD connection. How did you hide the wiring harness? Is there a problem if the battery voltage drops too low?
I'm in Southern California (Chatsworth to be more specific) and I'm trying to find a local (non-dealer) mechanic to do my maintenance as well as any repairs on my 2024 Maverick hybrid. I'm getting too old to want to do this stuff myself anymore.
It seems that these vehicles are complex enough...
Went to them before purchasing my 2024 hybrid. They offered me a ridiculously low trade in value for my 2016 Ram. ($10,000 lower than I actually received at another dealer) Walked out immediately. Would not recommend this dealer.
I just had my first battery replacement, under warranty, after owning the vehicle for about 9 months. I got the "battery saver" notification via my Ford Pass app . The battery the dealer replaced my original one was an AGM battery. Interestingly, the Ford technician told me that the new battery...

I used one that was very similar from Mequiars. While it initially worked well, it picked up some tar that hadn't been removed, and became useless after short time. I had to replace it with a real clay bar.
Difficult to tell exactly how they're getting in. I had a similar problem with mice nesting on top of my engine. My solution was just to leave the hood up every time I parked it. They don't seem to like being exposed to the sky. Hope this helps.
I've been having the same problem with rodents nesting on top of my engine. What worked for me is leaving the hood up overnight. It seems the rodents want a nice enclosed space that seems safe to them. Kind of a pain in the butt, but it seems to have solved the problem.
On my 2024 Lariat, the control for this is on the left side of the steering wheel where the cruise control controls are. I have one button to control "lane centering" (which is very useful on highway trips) and another button which will cycle thru the "following distance" settings for the...
