Here's my truck. 2023 Cactus Grey Hybrid XLT. My dealer in Syracuse said they got 2 hybrids and 1 was mine. I've added tailgate letters, tonneau cover, floor mats, wireless Android Auto. I tried seat covers, but I didn't like how they looked.

First ring suburb of Buffalo NY. Safe to say that's upstate NY!

Hello to all of you! I'm from an hour south of Buffalo. Thoroughly enjoying my 2023 Alto Blue XLT Lux FX4 4K. I would call this area Western NY, but I also would readily agree to be lumped in with anything outside NYC.

I'm not near the city so I must be upstate ... Southern Tier. My Carbonized Grey XLT's sitting in Buffalo waiting for the next step.

I’m 10 miles from Cooperstown. I think anything that is not NYC is upstate. 2022 Velocity blue 4k towing fx4 with luxury package

I think many here refer to "upstate" as anywhere east of western NY and north of NYC. I know many of us in WNY use this reference to distance ourselves from downstate, though I think often WNY is more appropriate for us.

I almost called this a Central New York group but didn't want to leave out western, eastern or northern NY so I went with Upstate instead.

@TonyTee That's appreciated too. Many years ago, I belonged to an HHR club and when we had a meet here in Buffalo, a few members came from some distance just to be here for it. I'd imaging that many, given the availability for the event, would also come from some distance to attend.
It would be nice though, if we could manage to have more local clubs/gatherings because it wouldn't limit us from having larger ones at all with other regions if the interest was there.

@TonyTee calling it "Anywhere But Downstate" might've worked.

Yes, I'd like to have some kind of meet/gathering with other NY Maverick owners. I like to drive and so maybe at some point we can do something in a location convenient for everyone!

Good morning! Nice to be off today and have a beautiful day to relax a while. I'm in western NY, northern suburb of Buffalo, Tonawanda. Got my Maverick in May.
Just to add to the discussion and some of my comments, I've always thought of "upstate" as anything not classified as part of NYC. We definitely have a different mindset, geography, and way of life here. I mean much of our state is farms, rolling hills, beautiful fall foliage, and lots of snow during the winter. Sure, we have some cities, but we have a lot of rural areas which make up most of the state.

Assume you folks received the latest recall notice that your Maverick can catch on fire.
Very discomforting.

@Joester absolutely. New York has too many other areas besides NYC and downstate. I'm sure they have their own group 😃
