Are the Chicagoland Maverick Club members interested in a Saturday or Sunday Meet & Greet sometime in mid-October? (ie before it gets too cold or snowy to spend time outside checking out each others' Mavericks and enhancements). Thinking a mid-October weekend date to stay away from all the Halloween activities at the end of the month.
I live in Elmhurst (somewhat centrally located) and could locate a nearby Forest Preserve location. Elmhurst is more or less surrounded by !-294, I-290 and I-88 with multiple entrance/exit ramps (and I-55 and I-57 tie into the previously mentioned I-XXXs).
Alternatively, if someone knows of a better location please speak up. I'm not married to the idea of it only being in "my backyard". Or we could meet at some restaurant/pub if folks want food & beverages provided. (but I eat out so little I don't know enough to choice that type of location).
Just throwing this out as I (we?) see so few other Mavericks on road. I'd think there's many Maverick owners now in northern Illinois, southern Wisconsin and northwest Indiana. It'd be cool to see the different colors, trim levels and what modifications or accessories folks have installed. And there's probably some folks still waiting for their Mavs to be built/delivered that may like to see that Mavericks actually do exist in the wild.
Anyways, just an some initial thoughts to give a regional meetup idea some legs.
