Hey SoCal Mavs! Got up this morning and made the trek to the Tustin Legacy Cars N Coffee. It's tucked away in the parking lot if industrial office buildings. The buildings ring the lot so you wouldn't really know there were cars gathered there unless you knew about it. Finally dragged my bones out of bed and had my first cup of coffee for the day, which in itself is right up there with breakfast as being the most important meal of the day. Grabbed something to chow down at the Golden Arches and made my way to the meet. It took about 40 minutes from my home. It's a pretty low key, chill kind of meet. You have your factions, the Vette guys, the muscle cars, Ferrari's , Porches, there was a Lamborghini, a Land Rover sedan, and a mix of various European brands (Alfa Romeo, Lancia). When I left a Jeep Rubicon 4 door with a monster 392 in it rumbled in. It was impressive! Also spotted a nice shiny freshly washed velocity blue Maverick Lobo. Oh! wait a minute that was mine! There were cars, but no coffee unless you BYOC. Happy I had my dark magic elixir before I got there!

After that it was head North to Angel Stadium to watch my friend complete in autocross. Stark contrast in vehicles. I mean there were muscle cars, Asian imports, European imports, electrics, luxury (Cadillac CT4 that RIPs it up out there!) and the Vette guys. The main difference is that they all are build to go fast and handle like race cars. All in all a good time.

I would say interns of vibe:
Adams Ave Donuts has the most visibility as far as location and more energy. Plus you can have donuts and coffee while you check out and talk cars with other like minded folks.

Tustin is very mellow, relaxed. Unfortunately it's a BYOC/D. Still get to check out and talk cars.

The Chemical Guys was like Adams Ave, but they had a EZups and were probably selling their detailing products. I can't confirm it but apparently they were providing free coffee and donuts. Felt like a car show. like the downstairs of the LA car show where you have the custom cars and vendors.

Sorry I'm long winded. Hopefully this makes for a somewhat of an OK read. I won't be around next weekend, but back in town the next. TTFN
