Just placed an order early this morning and it went through.

I would like to know if anyone comes up with some insert that fits in the center since I don't like the design on them. I will solder into the lines and add a plug connector for the wires. Not sure why others just don't do the same as long as you know how to solder - much better than the quick wire crimps for longevity. I just hope the color somewhat matches the rest of the amber lights.

I would like it if Mabett could offer different XL,XLT,Lariot designation on the top of the design,That would be great and not that much of effort

I doubt they will do that....they don't seem to cater to the different model variations at all. You can get some metal emblems off Amazon to place on it....so far no Lariat that would seem to fit but some Turbo emblems like the one for the engine cover if you buy a Lincoln one and want to remove it to replace with TURBO. When I get all my stuff I will see what that looks like on the side marker. I will keep looking for a LARIAT emblem too.

Im not crazy about the void in the middle. I'm waiting for my FX4 to be built but want to go with a red and black theme to match the FX4 logo. Cut some vinyl to fill the space. My poorly attempted visualization of my Maverick.

Anyone install these side markers on a Lariat yet? I noticed some instructions about splicing into the parking wire (running wire) in the headlight but the Lariat doesn't have such a wire like the XL/XLT. I thought about the front amber side lights but that's a real hassle now since I put on fender flares and I have not yet been able to pop them off from the outside even with a lot of force. Afraid I am going to break it or damage the paint. So I wired mine up to the added fuse link I installed off the engine fuse box for my hood leds ....so my side markers will be lit and amber whenever the truck is running. I wired up the turn signal to the fronts turn signal wires (soldered in) so hopefully I don't get any canbus errors from this extra load on the turn signal circuit. All wired up into a three pin connector that will mate to the Mabett wires if the unit ever gets mailed to me. Don't like buying stuff from Amazon and then having to wait for some future shipping date....kind of defeats the purpose of Amazons main reason for their existence.

My set came in the other day but I have yet to wire them up on my Lariat. Trying to figure out how I want to splice. Do you have pictures of your set up?

No pictures but you may not want to wire like me...since I wired mine up so they are on when the truck is running and flash when the turn signal is activated... niddle left area in diagram

Attached a pdf of my wiring. Note that the turning signal wires from the Mabett (yellow wire) gets wired to the front turn signal lines (amber bulbs in the headlight assembly). Those bulbs are not switchbacks so they only have two wires in the connector. The thinner wire is the one that provides the 12V to the bulb and flashed. Your wire colors may not be the same as in my diagram but it will still be the thinner wire in the Lariat. If you want the side markers to light with the parking (running lights when they are on) then you will need to tap into the fronts lower side amber parking lights.

I soldered into the turn signal wires. I used wire strippers to cut the insulation in two spots and then used the tool to push the insulation back to expose the wire and soldered my line to it. I then used liquid electrical tape on it and covered it with friction tape when dry. Friction tape is the stuff they use on some of their wires...not the same as electrical tape. It you break the wire then you just need to strip more and solder it all together again. Careful cutting back their friction tape....easy to cut the wires by accident.

Thanks. I will see what I can figure out. Almost want to make a harness to piggyback off the lights somehow.

I finally got mine and wired them up to my Lariat on Sunday. Review the instructions that I left for another member in post 102 with the exact wiring into the headlamp plugs and the turn signal plugs and you'll have no problem using the quick taps that are provided.

So it looks like you tapped into the low beam LED circuit and not the running light (parking lights) circuit to activate your side markers so yours come on when your low beam headlights are on versus the running lights being on. No errors or console messages? I was hesitant to tap into any of the LED wiring on the Lariat due to previous reports of errors when others tapped into them for adding lighting accessories.

I did as in the directions and on YouTube videos that I found and no I've had no problems, the lights work perfectly fine. They work as a marker light when they headlights are on and always operate as turn signals.

I don't have a lariat, but i also was put on their waiting date for shipping date! What gives?? Are they going to offer a discount?

Waiting date? I suspect they are waiting for a shipment before they can mail them out and I wouldn't expect a discount....if Mabett does give discounts I don't know how you claim it on Amazon.

Does anyone know the gauge of wire for these? Both on the lights and what we tap to? Tying to figure out connectors.
