I tried lifting out the tray behind the display. I didn't want to pop out, even when I loosened it all the way around the sides and back. How does it come out?

Yea more elbow grease. Those clips can be a pain. The clips on all 4 corners of the display require a bit of finesse as well. You need to push each one in and wiggle it out. If you try pulling you'll break those clips. Once you get it out you'll see what I mean.

It will just pop right out. See the video link in the “Install Instructions” tab of this site:
That's actually the site that prompted me to try it. It didn't just pop right out. Hence, my question.

...wiggle it out.
I'll give it another go. But not today. My curiosity about a project that might go here has fallen back in the priority list.

your clips may be a little tighter than normal ? I was able to pop mine off just like in the video.

I'll be giving it another try later. But it's good to know that I'm not doing something wrong. Thanks.

Ok. I got out the tray, but I cannot remove the display. I've popped the blue clip on each side. The display will wiggle, but not come out. I've applied a fair amount of force. It seems to be held at the bottom. I can see some blue at the bottom/ center. Is that another clip that needs to be released? If so, how? Ive been unsuccessful. Any thoughts on how to get the display out?

my screen came off pretty easy like in the video. There were only the two green clips holding it, one on each side of the screen. Yours may be slightly caught up, it should free up with some wiggle and enough force. Also helpful if you have a flat trim tool to help pry it off like in video.

I wish mine would, but for what I want to do (routing a couple of USB cables), I can work around not getting it completely off.

FYI, for someone else that may be having difficulty, I am using a plastic pry bar. There are two additional clips along the bottom. I can un-clip the one on the right, but I cannot get the one on the left un-clipped. I've pulled and wiggled with a strong amount of force and it will not release. The other clips I got to release by sliding the narrow end of my pry bar towards the clip. They released easily. The one on the bottom left I simply cannot figure out how to get it to release. If someone knows how, please post the solution.
