11/8/23 - 1 mo at home with my Mav after 620 day wait

I ordered my Maverick from Granger Ford in IA in Jan 2022, during their $3k off MSRP promotion. Originally I ordered an A51 XLT EB with Lux Pkg & CP360. My 2022 order was not built, so I upgraded to a HPR Hybrid Lariat with Lux, CP360, and CP360A for 2023.

I received the coveted scheduling email 06/15/2023 with a build week of 08/28/2023. My truck was in production as of 8/28/23 and the modules popped on 9/1/2023. I received my built email on 9/3/2023 and the shipped email 09/05/2023 with an estimated delivery range of 9/26-10/10/2023. My truck arrived at Granger on 9/21/2023 and I received an email from them the next day advising my truck had arrived.

Because of travel time necessary to fly out and drive back with my Maverick, I arranged to pick it up 10/6/2023. I worked two night shifts back to back before flying out mid-morning on the 6th.
I arrived in Des Moines about 2:10 pm and had to wait for the shuttle to Granger. I arrived at Granger around 3:30 pm.
While I was very tired, I was beyond elated to see my Maverick in person!

After doing paperwork, taking photos, putting my manual holder courtesy of @Grandpa in the glove box, roaming the very full lot to see they only had three other Mavericks, and speaking with my primary dealer contact Samantha, I left the dealership right about 5 pm.
I drove 2.5 hrs SE, stopping in Ottumwa, IA for the night.

The next day I drove to my best friend's house so we could celebrate our Sept birthdays and to show off my truck. I did experience some discomfort on the back of my right thigh while driving longer distances. It was better if I shifted my leg towards the center of the seat.
I stopped and napped in the truck at a rest stop for 1.5 hours, I was awoken three times by the various relay noises.

My truck had 16.5 miles on it at delivery, had a full tank and showed 321 miles to empty!
I had 505.4 miles on the truck at the first fuel up.

By the time I arrived at my best friend's house, the truck had 653.7 miles on it.

When I got home Sunday evening 10/8/23, I had 873.4 miles on the truck and had been in 5 states.

on 10/9/23
and took some beauty shots

I got a screaming deal from RealTruck on Truxedo ProX15 tonneau cover and installed it.​

My windshield brow tint was too low and too dark. My front windows were hard to see out of on
overcast days and
when it was dark out.

The installer replaced the windshield brow (15%) and tint (35% ceramic) at no cost and I had him install a slightly lighter tint (20% ceramic) on my front side windows.​

1776.6 miles to date, which means I have put 903.2 miles on it since arriving home in my driveway.​

I have had two trips
averaging over 50 mpg​

To do still: install Muslogy
mud flaps, get graphics
and tailgate letters,
and have the truck
ceramic coated.
In the meantime, I smile
every time
I see my truck
and often look back
or look out a window
to admire him.​

2 months home update (evening of 12/8/23):

I put 615 miles on Garrett over the last month.

I had another trip, albeit a short distance, with over 50 mpg.

I got 551.5 miles out of my last tank of fuel.

I put 14.133 gallons in for a hand calc'ed 39.02 mpg out of that tank. This has been my only fill up over the month. I went 25 days from the prior fill up to this one.

I had my highest computer averaged MPG trip.

I installed my ratcheting cargo bar with cargo net (thanks @Montana for enlightening me about these)

And rechargeable motion activated bed lighting. Thanks @bighap for the recommendation.

I also got my personalized plate.

I think it'll look great under the MAVERICK on the tailgate once I decide on letters to make that stand out more.

how many inches tall is the front windshield tint. And did the 15% tint work out? I really need to ger that done as the the stock sun visors are pretty small and leave giant gaps for the Texas sun to shine thru.

It's between 4.75-5" almost to the AS-1 mark on windshield. The 15% tint definitely works better for me. Offers protection from sun and glare without being obnoxiously or intrusively dark.

15% down the the AS1 line (Automotive Safety Standard) is what I went with, too. Anything darker would make the contrast too great between the tinted & un-tinted parts of the windshield, increasing eye fatigue.

A good thing about ceramic film is that the amount of IR heat rejection is almost identical, regardless of the visible darkness level of the tint you choose. Well worth the somewhat higher cost of ceramic film.
