Set a Guinness Book of World Records with help from my Maverick

Wasn't sure where to post this since it's only partially related to my Maverick, but here are a couple of photos from my setup for my weekend event, playing 100 hours of baseball to raise money for charity AND break a Guinness Record. One of the guys I was playing with (John Fitsimmon) has a Maverick on order, and he suggested posting a photo here.

We started Thursday morning at 8:00 a.m. and just finished today (Monday) at noon. Each team had 30 players and the teams were divided into groups of 10. Each group of 10 played against each other for 4 hours, twice a day. I was in the 8:00 a.m. to noon and 8:00 p.m. to midnight shift.

Tim, it was a pleasure to get beat by you 468 to 307. Helped keep my mind off my 1 year anniversary of waiting for my Maverick! It sure would have been nice to have had it to be able to throw all my junk in the bed instead of carefully packing up things so I have enough space.

Man, I am a HUGE baseball fan. Been to 40 MLB ballparks with just 5 current sites to visit over my life. I couldn't imagine playing/watching baseball that long. You have endurance! Congrats on the fund raiser!

No, though I do enjoy a Guinness stout from time to time. I've been to the Guinness brewery, a few years back in 2010.

Got banned from my university baseball games, used to buy fried chicken and fixings with my girlfriend and eat on the grass picnic style to watch the game. One of our star players asked for a piece of chicken, so gave him one, he dropped a game losing catch and blamed it on greesy fingers.
We got pointed as the source, and banned from the games.
We broke up, she wanted to restart the fried chicken picnic with new boyfriend and they also got booted, I was allowed back as a single person.
Justice was served..

Cricket 5-day test matches stop in the afternoon for "tea" and stop when it gets dark, then restart the next morning. We didn't stop playing baseball for 100 hours straight.

Nor could we leave the field area, hence the tents and air mattress in the Maverick truck bed.

That's why we now have an enclosed field. Can remember too many August days in both of the old stadiums. Somehow, even with the old new and the new new stadium, the teams don't seem to have gotten any better.

I beg to disagree about the team not getting better. Unless you're not talking about the Rangers...
