Does it have a front window that opens so that you get access to the Cab via the sliding back window?

I would transport my dogs in the bed of the truck and like having the pass through from the cab to the bed... Just keeps the dogs calmer..
The front window is removable, but the size of the opening is small due to the small size of the truck cab. So totally depends on the size of your dog?

I have so many questions!

1. Why would onr choose a cap vs a topper? How does the application differ from one another?

2. Will it work directly on top of a tonneau cover or it needs to be removed?

3. Is the pump included?

4. Can you look into the windows and see what's inside? Will it attract thieves?

5. Would a future extension be just an attachment to the existing cap/topper or be built from the ground up?

6. Is it weatherproof year round? I know you said winter but how about keeping it on indefinitely? Will it affect mpg tremendously?

I have installed a SyneticUSA tonneau cover. Could this be installed to sit on top of that tonneau cover?

I will hope to answer your questions.

1. This is totally dependent on what you need the bed of your truck for. The cap is really designed to create more space that is protected by the elements. Essentially doubles the capacity of your truck bed to haul stuff that needs to be out of the weather for road trips. The Topper size creates more space and the option for opening windows/ air flow for animals or camping.

2. Gennerally you need to remove the cover, but can leave the attachment rails if they are attached flush with the bed of the truck. If they are mounted on top of the truck bed rails then it won't work.

3. manual pump is included, as well as storage bag. Electric pump is extra. But the Maverick topper is so small, it only takes minutes to inflate with the manual pump.

4. The windows on the topper are not lockable. But very tinted as to not attract attention to the items inside.

5. Any future attachments would be designed to work with existing models .

6. Works great in the cold months to keep snow out of the bed. You can keep it on year round if you just realize that in summer you need to purge air pressure and when the temps drop for the first time you will need to to top it off with air. PSI changes +/- for every ten degrees of temperature change. That said. I have had on on my truck in Montana and it is highway worthy at 1.5 PSI and good to go at 9. Our suggested range is 5-8.

For Gen 3 make it so it is flat with height of mav though option to expand taller for more storage or better yet camping…with a rear addition option for ease of enter/exit :)
Would look good on my Area 51 Maverick
Nice improvements gen1 to gen 2

Nice idea
HAHA. It took us six samples to figure out that weird radius on the sides. We will get there, but stoked on what we have created so far.

Going back to the tonneau cover, I really want this to work without taking it down.

I have the roll top version factory installed. Wouldn't the topper work if I have the tonneau cover rolled up but not all the way so the top can sit on all three sides?

Have you come across this from other truck owners? I kinda wannna keep my tonneau cover since it's more secured and I parked outside.

But would like to use your cap for like you said, more space for hauling camp gears

Well the tracks/ rails can normally stay on. But the cover has to come off to properly secure the topper to the truck.

Not to be this guy; I love the look and particularly the extended height version, but I'm not that interested in creating yet another account or whatever just to see what the MaverickClub23! discount is. Is it more than the 10% being offered for providing an email address?

Thanks for continuing to outfit these awesome trucks in the aftermarket!

Do you have pic of the toppe deflated and folded up? I would like to see the size for storage purpose. I am a camper but in frequent. I would need to store in my garage on a upper rack system.

Thank you for responding! 7" is perfect as I don't want my dogs climbing back into the cabin... Just an opening so that they can communicate and get some cabin air on hot days when we need the AC to cool things off for them back there too...

I usually go to events with a topper checked on the airlines. This is how it looks when it arrives to your house.
