Got the call from my local dealer that a customer declined his order so I just put $500 down on a brand-new 2022 Ford Maverick XLT Velocity Blue FX4 Eco-boost.

It isn't a hybrid and doesn't have the lux package so none of the extras I wanted but that's okay. I'll be putting my order in for a 2023 as soon as I can and just trade this one in. I'm super excited!

Best part is they are selling it to me at $400 under MSRP for $29,500!

29,500 for a ecoboost without lux package. Seems like there is a markup unless you have a bed cover or other options. Also why buy a vehicle you don’t want if your dumping it in less then a year?

The cheapest (current MSRP) for a XLT 2.0 FX4 would be $28,310 including destination. So, probably a few other options or dealer installed items. Not a bad deal either way.

I’d be curious to see the sticker to see what accounted for nearly 1.8K in accessories or packages.

grats!

Out in the sticks of SW Indiana ;-). These folks value customer relationships more than profit I guess.

FX4, 4K Tow Package and floor liners are the only added options. Base Price $23,360, Options are $4,450. Then there's the customary dest/delivery charge of $1500

I'm buying a vehicle I don't *really* want because my trade-in (2013 GMC Sierra 1500) loses value every day that passes and I'm hoping to get a markup on this one when I go to sell it to buy the 2023 model when it comes in.

I almost purchased on a Red hybrid Lariat out in Burlington, NJ this weekend but I waited too long and it went out from under me. This one will do nicely for a while.

If true congrats but there seems to be a bit of dishonesty in your post. You add & calculate items as they are brought up as if you had no idea in the original post what you purchased.

As you have shared a factory build would be 31,555. You claim to have had a $500 below MSRP discount. It’s more like 2.5K.

Stop jerking people around.

My build in my signature was around 31.6k with a discount. Everything except 4X.
We’re supposed to believe you paid nearly the same?
