Picked up on April 18th, from Ben Davis Ford, Auburn, IN. They still have to add the Window deflectors and replace the spare tire. I got a 225/60R/17 and not the 225/65R/17 tire. So, everyone take the time to check our spare if you ordered Full size spare on your order.

My truck is an Alto Blue XLT with painted wheels also, looks like I need to check the spare!! Did the dealer hassle you about replacement? Mine was just delivered Thursday, what a beautiful color in the sun!! Enjoy!

I just contacted them today. Explained to dealer that my order was for ful size tire. 225/65R/17 spare. Same size as the came with not one that is 1/2 size smaller. Have to here back yet.

Got reply from Ben Davis Ford, that they could not do anything about the undersize spare tire. That would have to contact Ford at 1-800-392-3673. They then gave me different departments, that were useless. I did get a case number; however, it seems that they just want to give me a runaround. i am not giving up yet, however had a enough for today. will continue to try to solve this another day.

In your line of thinking then they could have used a 125/70/17 , or a 135/70/17 or even a 215/45R/17 or a 215/55R/17. The 17in rim is not the tire size.. I feel that they misrepresented a full size tire.

You have the 'full size spare' you paid for.

There are (2) available spare tires, a small temporary-use 'donut' spare wheel/tire or a 'full size' spare.

No where does Ford represent it's the exact same size ( 225/65R/17) as tires your truck was shipped with. It is what it is.....

My "line of thinking" is that this is what a full-size spare is because that's what it's been defined as.

My opinion on the matter does not matter.

It's not advertised as an identical spare.

It's just not a mini spare like you might find in the back of a Focus or Escape, even if it's not the same exact size.
