Greetings from the Mojave Hi-Desert!

Hi everyone! It's really cool to see so many people excited about the new Ford Maverick, and to be part of this growing community! I hope to learn from you, and maybe make some friends along the way.

I turned 40 this year and what a way to celebrate! I finally received my XLT on 2/16/2022 after placing my rezo on 7/2/2021. TBH, I wasn't serious about it at first and then the hype started coming out and I was GLAD I put a rezo in when I did. I have never had a new, zero-mileage car in my life. Used, pre-certified cars were it. The price point, even with added options (FX4 off road package, 4K tow, spray-in bed liner), made this one of my best decisions. I drove a 2004 Toyota Tacoma Pre-Runner (and before that a Ford Ranger). Great cars, but not on mileage. The XLT is an amazing and affordable change, which allows me to do and save MORE than I ever could with the Taco and Ranger. Looking forward to many adventures with my XLT! BTW, I named it "Maeve."

Mace, you're in a perfect place for this truck. Since I got mine I have taken it to Joshua Tree 3 times and out to Johnson Valley too.

Thanks so much, Roy! I couldn't agree more! I can feel confident going in 4x4 zones and SAND! lol I'll still carry my MAXTRAX though, just in case.

Well hello and welcome to the club! I have a new MaverickXL hybrid I'm selling my 2013 Tacoma prerunner and previous to that I owned a Ford ranger 4x4 and I live in the high desert so we may have a few things in common! Hope you enjoy your new truck as much as I am enjoying mine. I've done a few modifications you will find people very friendly and very helpful on this Maverick forum. Hi Michael! Thanks so much and congrats to you as well. Yes, we certainly have things in common! I'm actually going to hang onto my Taco for a bit, as a second back-up emergency vehicle and for light scooting around town. The Maive will be the main work horse as I drive west a lot for work and visiting friends/fam.
