So after confirming everything with Granger they’ve informed me they require a non-refundable $1000 for orders, and they will not lock in an interest rate before it’s delivered. I’m not gonna lie both of those things combined have given me a lot of pause about actually pulling the trigger with them.

Let's be real though. How can you lock in a rate and we have a large window when the truck will be here? I'm sure it will be low.

Honestly it’s mostly the non-refundable deposit part. I live in Minneapolis so a drive to Des Moines is a lot better then Philly for me

Yeah that would turn me off too. I'd still reach out to him. Lot of people bee. Buying out of state like myself.

Four percent under invoice and no deposit.

The extra Pennsylvania fees over Iowa also eat up a lot of that extra 1% you’re saving

Maybe they mean the granger doc fee is $180 and the Chapman doc fee is $394? I think those are the amounts.
Correct, I think there was a license or tab fee too, not sure if that would apply to out of state customers

Here they wanted a $1000 deposit from me. I hesitated and they offered $500. That works. They got bills to pay and the odds of me walking are pretty slim. Then I was told my check would be held and most likely returned to me if I didn't want the Mav.

Qualifier: This is a small town plus I showed up in my Pinto.

I'm not disputing your word, but that sounds off to me. Granger isn't asking for any type of non-refundable deposit on the Bronco, and is only going to ask for a $500 deposit when we get a build date. I would call back to see if you can confirm that.

I believe the deposit I placed on June 9th with Granger was non-refundable.

Not an issue for me as I'm buying it for sure, but for those that want to test drive and see if they like it before ordering, no.

The large window makes me wonder how long that last person in line is going to wait for delivery from a dealer that is taking 100s if not 1000s of orders?
