I mean not a single E mail from Ford….other than $200 perks towards accessories. No phone calls…until 2 hours ago. A stranger from the dealership calls, telling me that my salesperson is no longer in their employ and that I’ve been ”reassigned“ to the fleet manager. And that….my truck just arrived: “the fleet manager will call you in a few days, probably. They have to get your truck ready.” I obtained the mobile # of the fleet manager…called and texted him. He called back. I asked for an explanation. He could not understand why no one, including Ford, made contact. I replied “I assume you will honor the terms of my purchase agreement: not above MSRP and no add ons.” He said “of course.” He then said “you‘ve waited long enough. Just let me know when you‘d like to pick it up…no rush.”

I really had sort of forgotten about this…not even sure I still have a place for it. My question is….should I buy it, enjoy it for awhile? Will I break even when I sell it? Or…should I try to sell it now….or…should I just let the dealership do what it wants with it and take my $500 deposit back? What do we know about the 2024 Maverick?

2024 Order banks open Monday. The prices have went up across the board and the Hybrid will be a $1,500 option on top of the base price. XLT hybrid are going up approximately 3k. See https://www.mavericktruckclub.com/f...er-guide-released-product-changes-list.34141/

For 2024 pricing see Custom Order 2024 Ford Maverick in Salina, KS - Long McArthur Ford (long-mcarthur.com)

I doubt there will be any loss in value in the short term. Just query on the used Maverick Hybrids will give you an idea of the prices. I just got my hybrid, so I'm biased, but I would jump on it. :) Good luck!

Get the truck as soon as you can. The 2024 Trucks are going to be missing lots of features that are on the 23's, + cost more. Also if you don't pick it up soon, you will loose it after 5 days, the dealer has the right to it. Starting tommorrow the window to order a Maverick opens, and no one at the dealership will have time to waste dealing with you. YOU SNOOZE, YOU LOOSE!

I have heard nothing, not one word from anyone regarding my XLT hybrid. Placed my order opening day on September. Called my dealership......"oh let me check your status, sorry nothing updated on status.". Worst customer service possible. No notifications from Ford. Not so sure I want any product from them anymore.

In retrospect, I believe some dealers want us to take hike and forget about our orders. If you are not proactive the delaer will sell the truck over and above what you could buy it for. IMHO

Interesting….that the lack of info passed forward might have been intentional. I attributed it to a lack of care/passion of most car salespeople.

I had a dealer tell me they did not enter my email with my order. They, instead, used their (dealer's) email. This is why I was not getting any emails from Ford. Ford was sending them but the dealer was receiving them.

Congratulations. I'm in a similar situation, ordered a Lariat hybrid in 2022 and no real info...and still no truck.

But some people will think Ford should of been psychic and known their email address. If someone didn't get the 45 day sorry charlie emails from Ford then their dealers may of not entered the email address. Plus many salesman leave sales in a short time, often before training a replacement so you exist in a dealer's computer then, not a salesman's memory. And the time between order confirmation and scheduling there is no status change to communicate.

My dealer sent me a box of chocolates every month with a note 'We're sure it will be here soon'.

Buy it and see how you like it. Easy flip if you don't.

To those that have heard nothing. Use the Chat feature on the Ford web site. Call your dealer first and get your order # and Dealer Code if you do not already know it. Be proactive.

Notifications from Ford are dependent on the dealer entering your email address in a specific place in WBDO. It is not a requirement for the cust email address to be entered. If your email address is entered there, you will get updates from Ford, if not, you won't.

Price them at Carvana, etc. It's a Hybrid - if you don't keep it, you can make some money reselling it, even after paying taxes & fees.

But I bet you end up keeping it. :)
